Show was a great in ring show. Concise story telling as well. Might be show of the year for Impact.

Eddie wouldn't have been my first choice, but he's not my last choice either. Happy it wasnt Moose or Callihan. Should be a great match though.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better Chris Bey match than his match with Speedball last night. Another great match from Bailey.

Re: IMPACT! on AXS TV - August 18, 2022

Bey has the ingredients for sure. Being in there with someone as consistently great as Speedball definitely brought out some of his best stuff. There's a bright future for him if he sticks it out.

Edwards being Josh's challenger at BFG is a pretty big "eh" for me. I love Eddie, but I think we're passed the point of him needing to be in the World Title picture. I know this will be the first time he's contending for the belt as a heel, so there is some newness to it, but the run he's been on isn't screaming "BFG HEADLINER" to me.

Woulda gone with Sami as my first choice, since from what I recall, he mentioned Alexander by name in his return vignettes and he's been killing it once again since coming back from injury. He just has a lot more star power to me right now than Edwards as well.

Second choice would be either Maclin or Moose. Moose is an easily justifiable one and I think a final match between him and Alexander with some kind of stipulation makes perfect sense to headline the show. Maclin is more of a "crowning moment" pick. I wouldn't want/expect him to win the belt necessarily, but just being in the main event would solidify him as one of Impact's core guys, which I think he has become over the last couple years.
