Re: Cinema Draft Round 1: Gip vs. Shock

Gip may very well have assembled one of my favourite lists. The early trio of Matrix, Toy Story & GOTG is something I would watch happily all day long. Then you back that up with Python, Rat Race, Oceans 11, Spirited Away and the Apes trio and you've got one happy Postman.

Shock has a lot of great films. I'd happily watch them, but none are personal favourites of mine apart from Inside Out. Shout outs to Children Of Men, Airplane, and Prince of Egypt though.

So yeah, easy pick for Gip for me. But that's no knock in Shock's effort.

Both these lists are good, but Gip has put together the best list out of everyone for me. Going to take something special to beat him.

Same thought with regards to Gip. I can see him getting votes from me each round!

Man, I love being the contrarian in all these votes.

Gip has only two movies I couldn’t live without (Princess Bride, Holy Grail) while Shock has five (The Godfather, 12 Angry Men, Airplane, The Shining, In Bruges), so my vote here is easy. The fact that 12 Angry Men and The Shining were both on my shortlist makes this even easier.

Re: Cinema Draft Round 1: Gip vs. Shock

Shock takes this one down for me. Gipper has a cracking list but Planet of the Apes do nothing for me, and Saving Private Ryan is a pet hate film of mine. Throw in that Shock's first three picks were all on my shortlist and he has it.

Maybe my favourite of all lists. Gipper's is actually high up for me too but he was unfortunate he came across Shock.
