Gave it the full headphone treatment today and it did not disappoint. Not their best work, but that still puts it above most stuff I’ve listened to lately.

If you’re a fan, you should check out Fly Pan Am.

Oh I also listened to this and dug it. Definitely in my Awesome 2021 albums list.

Kota the Friend album Jimmy mentioned is also on my list. Kota is pretty consistent for how often he churns out stuff.

The Armed - ULTRAPOP is well worth checking out in new releases. This was my first exposure to them and I really dug it a lot.

Definitely recommend if hardcore punk is your thing.

^^^ Weird, I'm a big hardcore punk guy, and a bit Kurt Ballou guy, but can't get into the Armed for some reason.

Never came across these guys on my radar before, but the new Devil Sold His Soul is pretty cool. Sort of like longer-more atmospheric post-hardcore. post-post-hardcore?

“Daddy’s Home” from St Vincent is becoming one of my favorite albums of the year. I’ve been listening to it a lot lately and it’s just so good.

Love Strange Mercy, Love This Giant, and particularly the self-titled album. Fallen off the boat with her though - I'll give this a listen tomorrow.

Seen it hyped for a few weeks and got round to checking out the album from Squid. Pretty cool, like a hodge-podge of punk, jazz, and a bunch of other ingredients all blended together in a delicious smoothie.

Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, and Snoop Doggy Dog are the true leaders and pioneers, also Wiz, of the generation of musical entertainers. Can't top even....even if they stopped me

I fully endorse the Architects latest album as well. Great album.

Royal Blood "Typhoons" is on my list so far this list.

Tyler, The Creator- CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST
    DMX - Exodus
    chloe moriondo - Blood Bunny
Sasha and the Valentines - So You Think You Found Love
    Olivia Rodrigo - SOUR

Re: The Awesome Albums of 2021 Thread

    Stuff I have dug

    AmenRa - De Doorn
    Belgian metal titans deliver again
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBTqCIgpJ6s

    Insomnium - Argent Moon EP
Not sure this is actually out yet but it's on youtube. The best melodic dm band out there, it's as close to ballads as the genre gets
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NZIQB3PTHc

Los Males Del Mundo - Descent Towards Death
Black metal from the depths of Argentina and it slays. Vocals are some satanic shit
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLZTPi2wMkE

The Raging Nathans - Waste My Heart
Scruffy voiced pop punk in the vain of Menzingers/Lawrence Arms. Nothing new or original but a lot of fun
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iAMmFax7uc

    Thy Catafalque - Vadak
Hungary's most experimental metallers deliver another unique album full of killer riffs and beautiful but haunting vibes
