With the change in dynamic, this could legit be their best match yet.

The only problem is the obvious outcome. The glorified house show bubble that the Saudi shows exist in precludes Roman dropping the belt, nor will it allow for any angle development in this admittedly interesting Heyman story that they’re working towards.

To be fair, the online literature does say that it’ll be for the belt IF Reigns can beat the Spirit of Halloween guy.

But let’s not kid ourselves here. A wig and some shoe polish does not a Demon make. Roman’s stoic expression at the end of the last show gave the exact impression it should have. This geek is nothing to him. Finn, or his Demon, aren’t on his level, nor should they be. The Tribal Chief has no equals.

There was a world title change at each of the last two blood money shows.

I agree Roman will win, but not because its a Saudi show

Shame Brock only works for that Saudi money, his last singles match on PPV that wasn't SA or 'Big Four' was 4 years ago

What about Extreme Rules 2019? It was technically a match, I suppose.

Love how WWE are advertising Brock vs Roman for the Saudi Blood Money show and then in the same post asking the quesiton "will the title be on the line after Reigns faces Balor at Extreme Rules" to make us quesiton whether that will be the case or not. Hilarious.

Earlier this week, Keith Lee unveiled a nickname in tribute to Bearcat Wright, and last night Shane Thorne unveiled a gimmick in tribute to Skinner.

He's an Aussie, not someone who lives in the Florida Everglades. If anything, he's a tribute to Outback Jack.

Just noticed that the WWE Championship has black background behind the big "W", while the Universal Championship has blue background, because I guess is on SmackDown. In this case why the WWE Championship doesn't have red background representing being on Raw?

Because the Universal Title changes between red and blue depending on which brand it is on.

What about the Women's championships? They both change depending on the brand they are on?

    Re: General WWE Discussion

From stltoday, also reported by NoDQ:

ST. LOUIS — Downtown St. Louis will see its fair share of leg sweeps, suplexes and powerslams this January.

Pro wrestling powerhouse WWE will host the 35th annual “Royal Rumble” at the Dome at America’s Center downtown on January 29, 2022.

The event, one of the biggest of the year for WWE, is expected to draw more than 40,000 fans from far and wide to St. Louis to see the scripted spectacle and should bring a boost to the downtown economy, said John P. Saboor, WWE’s executive vice president of special events.

The rumble is headlined by two battles royal, one for male WWE superstars and one for the female contenders, in which 30 wrestlers pack into the ring two-by-two to duke it out accompanied, of course, by entrance music and smack talk. The winner goes on to a title match at the WWE championship, “Wrestlemania,” set for Dallas in April.

The Dome will be the largest venue to host the event since it launched 1988.

The rumble was virtual-attendance only from Tampa in 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but brought 42,715 people to Houston in 2020 and 48,193 to Phoenix in 2019, according to the WWE.

The WWE’s Saboor said that St. Louis was chosen through a bidding process that included a review of its public transportation, hotel capacity, event spaces and history hosting large sports and entertainment events.

He added that St. Louis also has a long and rich history with pro wrestling, dating all the way back to the city’s Chase Park Plaza hotel hosting the popular pro wrestling TV show “Wrestling at the Chase” from 1959 until 1983, the center of the wrestling world for years.

“Our decision to present the Royal Rumble at the Dome is a powerful reminder of a special relationship built over decades with WWE and St. Louis,” Saboor said.

St. Louis has hosted the Royal Rumble once before, in 2012, when Sheamus, a spiky red-headed up-and-comer from Dublin won the event at what is today Enterprise Center.

St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones applauded the decision in a statement this week.

“St. Louis has the best sports scene in the country, and Royal Rumble will enhance it even more,” the statement read. “This event is an incredible opportunity for our city, bringing WWE fans from across the nation to St. Louis and helping keep our downtown vibrant during the winter season.”

Saboor said the WWE has grown in popularity around the world, and he expected domestic and international fans to attend the Royal Rumble. The rumble is also typically surrounded by a weekend of festivities, including meet-and-greets with the wrestlers.

Two St. Louis-area natives in the WWE may be featured in the Royal Rumble: third-generation wrestler and former WWE champion Randy Orton, who attended Hazelwood Central High School, and Reginald, a St. Louisan who signed a WWE contract in 2020.

Tickets for the Royal Rumble go on sale Friday, October 15 at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster. Fans interested in presale opportunities can register at www.wwe.com/rumble2022. The rumble is a pay-per-view event or can be streamed at 8 p.m. Jan. 29 on the Peacock streaming service.
Long story short, the 2022 Royal Rumble will be at The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis. The article notes it will be the largest building to ever host Royal Rumble which appears to be true since the capacity for the stadium is over 67,000. However, the article also mentions that they're expecting to draw "more than 40,000" fans so odds are that they're not planning to pack the place to full capacity, though it would not surprise me if they announce an attendance closer to that max capacity.

Just feels weird. Was so used to WWE PPVs being Sundays. Guess there’s no big difference!
