Re: WWE Royal Rumble 2021 - Men's Royal Rumble

I think that despite there only being a handful of realistic winners for this years Rumble, I do think that it's quite an open field. Usually you can narrow it down to 2 or 3 guys but I think this year realistically there's more like 5+ options that are more than realistic.

Rather than look at it from a Raw and Smackdown perspective I prefer looking at who they want to face each champion.

As far as challengers to Drew go, I think they could go with anyone of Randy Orton, The Fiend, Sheamus, Keith Lee or Brock Lesnar.
As far as challengers to Roman go, I think they could go with anyone of Daniel Bryan, Shinsuke Nakamura and again; Brock Lesnar. I'll also thrown in Keith Lee as a wildcard to win and then switch to Smackdown to challenge Roman.

As for who I WANT to win, honestly I'd love to see Nakamura or Lee win. It seems like they're building Nakamura back up as a babyface which is very cool, and a smart move by WWE. I think the way they built him up in that gauntlet match a couple of weeks ago surely has to lead to something. Winning the Rumble and then having him challenge Reigns would be awesome.
Keith Lee, he also in my opinion needs to have some sort of payoff soon because they keep building him up and then he doesn't quite make it to the ppv main event. him vs Drew or Reigns would be amazing and could make for a great crowning moment at Wrestlemania if he was to then win.

As for who I think WILL win, I honestly think it will be Brock, which would be such a 'WWE move' by WWE. After being dumped out of the Rumble last year by Drew and then losing the title to him, Brock coming back for revenge makes sense.
There's also the obvious storyline for Lesnar against Reigns given that Paul Heyman is now managing Reigns.
I would argue that both of Brocks stories for Wrestlemania could be done easily without him needing to win the Rumble, and actually, having Brock come back as an Elimination Chamber participant could be something more cool and interesting for him and have him get his title shot that way. I might be wrong, but I don't think Brock's ever participated in a Chamber match? So it would be another feather in his cap for him to participate in one of those.

Re: WWE Royal Rumble 2021 - Men's Royal Rumble

I'll throw out a couple of names for legends/return spots.

After his interaction with Randy Orton on 'Raw: Legends Night' the other week I think we could see Mark Henry in the match (if he's recovered enough from his injury). Henry still looks like a bad ass (possibly moreso with his grey beard) and seeing him laying the beat down on Randy for a bit before getting eliminated would be pretty cool.

Booker T has been teasing a Rumble appearance. If you check out his Twitter he shared a pic of him working out saying that he needs 2 weeks notice to get in ring shape. He looks in incredible shape to me physically (so assume he means cardio-wise for the 2 week notice)

Tag him in for sure. Would love to see Booker T in the ring again.

Trying to imagine how they're gonna pull off the rumbles without a crowd. Gonna be different for sure.

A show with two 30 participant matches feels like a Covid disaster waiting to happen.

I would not be opposed to a loud "BURN IT DOWN" with a babyface turn for Rollins. Edge is always in the mix. But knowing the WWE product of late, it will be a Randy Orton for some stupid reason or a returning Brock Lesnar, if it's easy enough for him...

I still have a suspicion that Big E is going to win it.

I can see me falling for the bait that Bryan is the hot favourite with KO now getting another shot at Roman; there's only so long they can go without doing Roman Vs Bryan when they're on the same roster. I know Brock makes a lot of sense for either champ to go up against, but they would announce him in the rumble if he was gonna wrestle in it. I wouldn't sleep on Seth either who is too much of a company man to carry his paternity leave into Wrestlemania season.

In a well booked company that was trying to make new stars, Keith Lee would be the overwhelming favourite, but I don't see it happening.

I think they've already put a ceiling on Big E with him being IC Champ running around with Apollo Crews atm.

I'm sure Seth will return at the rumble at least since they announced him like a month ago to be returning to smackdown in commercials and then just randomly took it back.

I’m just saying, if there was a year for a NXT guy to get called up and make their debut by winning the rumble. This year would definitely be it.

I haven't got a clue what is happening going into the Rumble. Apparently Daniel Bryan is the favourite. I'll take everyone's word for it because I don't see it (but again, I haven't been keeping up with WWE at all). I do think this is the show to bring Brock Lesnar back and maybe even give him the win to put him in the title picture for WrestleMania. That sounds like a realistic idea.

Which NXT wrestlers would be most likely for this? Gargano? Ciampa? Kross? Any potential stars in NXT?

With Adam Cole recently just saying he isn't leaving NXT and that it's the main roster I could see him winning it and Finn taking over Undisputed Era.

Whilst it is a realistic idea, I really hope that isn't what happens. I have no interest in seeing Lesnar against Reigns or McIntyre again.

I wouldn't be against Big E winning this tbh. Him or D-Bryan to win it and face Reigns at Mania would be nice.

I come back to the story of Brock vs McIntyre 2 being planned for Summerslam if everything went back to normal, which it didn't, so a rematch a year later seems likely. Brock getting another title shot is old but if he doesn't win, I don't see a problem. There isn't many big matches to have with this roster.

It is a case of me just not being interested in seeing Lesnar in that position anymore more than anything. If I had to choose between Lesnar facing Reigns or McIntyre, it would be Drew all day. I think all of the good work that Reigns has done could and would be wiped out with another uninteresting and done-to-death feud against Lesnar. Although I would like it if things built nicely to McIntyre vs Sheamus, but I think that we could be heading down the Lesnar route with Goldberg involved.

Shinsuke Nakamura is prob a underdog here but im thinking its DB. Bryan vs. Roman is another great story its vinces guy vs db plus redemption and db winning the rr and getting to fight Roman is a dream match

I mean who doesn't want Jinder Mahal to win and face Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania, right? Right?

With Edge in the rumble now, any chance we get him winning it only for sometime between now and Mania Orton faces Drew/Goldberg for the belt and Edge does the interference to help Orton win so he can face orton for the championship at mania?

I'd rather have Mahal winning than this
