I thought it was a great show, though 10/10 is probably a stretch but like it was said, it's all subjective. Though this reviewer also automatically gives any Sasha Banks or OC match 5 stars, so there's that.

The Parking Lot brawl was SO much fun, and the Mox/Archer segment was great too.

Personally believe it'd be really hard to really hate anything on the show.
i value your opinion. Im going to check it out this weekend. Someone saying the show was perfect is the reason i asked.

i like AEW for what they are doing. But they are already at too much content per week for me to follow. i like 1 hour shows.

    However,ill check the show out

I think perfect might be over-exaggerating it a bit, but I do rate it as one of their top shows

Off-topic a bit, but anyone else find 411mania to be unusable at the moment? For the past week or so, uBlock hasn't been able to block any ads on the site. Even playing around with the features, the best I can do is turn off Javascript, which does remove the ads, but also all of the comments. I've tried adding Adblock to work with uBlock, but that still doesn't fix at least a half dozen ads on the page, some of which are those awful autoplay video ads.

With the exception of some BS with a Trump ad showing up on Youtube, I've never encountered this with uBlock before.

That Ivellese incident is wild. I can't say that I'm surprised though. I'm all for some edge but there is that and unprofessionalism. Not the first time either. Just the gif of the sandbagging was enough for preprecautions but shoot strikes too?

I thought this was a really fun show, the main event rules, Hangman vs Kaz was really good, and the opening tag team match was solid imo. I enjoyed the setup for Mox/Hobbs/Darby vs Cage/Starks/Archer for next week, I hope there’s big things in store for Hobbs he has a lot of potential.

With all of the 5+ ratings he's given out in recent years, is 5* anything special anymore?

I had the same thought with SvR. Brought back big memories.

Good for Meltzer. Glad he enjoyed the match to that degree.

Now that I’m years past believing his ratings have more credibility than the average asshole, I just find them amusing now. Like I don’t care how good this match was, Chuck Taylor has a 5* match and Bryan Danielson doesn’t

Finally caught the Parking Lot Brawl myself. It was a really awesome match. I'm not high on brawling in the modern wrestling world outside of Mexico but this was a different breed of the match. They went all in on the car bumping and their use of the environment in general. I really didn't care about their feud at all but they went for a different tone to the rest of the match and it came out much better for it. Although they had a slight tounge in cheek end to it all with the car drive into the sunset ending which I did like.

I really like Hobbs. He seems a bit green on the media side but I'm sure he will improve with more experience.

I thought the main event was fine, but I guess overrated based on comments in here and I guess by Meltzer too. Doesn't help that I just don't like Best Friends as a tag team.

FTR/Jurassic Express was way better than FTR's title win match, really enjoyed that, just needed a smoother execution on the finish.

The set up for the 6 man was immense, although for as much as I love to hear Pink Floyd references, Jake's voice is getting hard to hear on a live mic. I was kinda glad to hear Archer talk.

Overrated probably isn't the right word to use there since it was so highly raved and reviewed by the vast majority, you just personally liked it a lot less than others did, which is fine. The match is far from overrated though

That's exactly what overrated means. You can still think a match that wins the MOTY award (aka the match most highly rated by the most people) is overrated. It's about how you personally feel about something based on it's reputation from others.

I thought the match was "really good" more than MOTYC. It gave me what I want from that match and I'm someone who doesn't like Best Friends and thinks Chuck in particular kinda stinks. Meltzer's ratings have long been meaningless. Heck, even some of the stuff he historically gave 5* to is baffling.

I also don't really see a MOTY or a 5 star match out of it. It was just a really, really good match. Meltzer giving that rating surprised me at the time and I don't really see what he saw after it. I can only think that him giving 6 and 7 stars ratings means that a 5* match isn't exactly what it was in 2011. It's the new 4 star match basically.

Main was fucking awesome. Loved how even the commentators were light hearted to begin with then got more serious as it escalated. A great example of blood being effective too, some great visuals in there (blood on the floor, 2x4, guys not just bleeding from the head as per norm).

Rest of the show was real good too. Although the Young Bucks stuff is doing nothing for me. Not sure how losing a number one contenders match thanks to a mate leads to attacking random personnel.

Couple of small things that I noticed that make me glad I watch. Cassady twitching post pinfall and Hangman asking for a beer AFTER noticing Kenny had gone. Hangman Page; Alcoholic is so well written.

I think the idea with the Bucks is that the drama with the Elite & their lost opportunity at a tag titles is making them feel like they have to resort to old BC/PWG-style heel habits of not giving a fuck, not respecting authority & super kicking whoever they want. After being fined $5K they're kinda asserting that fines aren't going to discourage them (hence the flippant payment of the fine on BTE) & kicking another staff member. Attacking random personnel is just a by-product of them returning to the most successful period of their career where they had a tendency to do that.

All that said, I don't strictly speaking "care" for the Bucks and them being on the show doesnt take or add anything from me, but as long as they have a story, at least it'll be more interesting than them doing nothing.

It is interesting that we're not going to get a traditional Face Bucks vs. Heel FTR match. I dont know when that showdown will happen but if it happens anytime soon then I do enjoy the different dynamic of a "Heel" Bucks vs. Heel FTR match. It'll be more captivating than seeing FTR being the super smart heels who use everything in the book to beat the face tag teams who dont have the insight to come up with ways to outsmart FTR. In a lot of ways, it's quite logical that Bucks would have to change behaviors to have a chance against FTR kayfabe wise because being a straight-laced face deffo isnt going to cut it.
