Cassidy/Jericho is the big draw here for me. Jericho loves attaching himself into a program with the hottests acts in companies so it was only a matter of time before he went up against Cassidy. Would of loved it to be in front of fans, but they'll make it work.

Everything else ranges from 'that looks a nice TV match' (something like the tag titles match) to 'can't see them having good chemistry' (Cody/Hager and Moxley/Cage).

Haven't really followed the product for a while. Colt's in Dark Order?

Hope Shida puts Ford away quickly. Ford doesn't feel like someone who should be going toe to toe.

Honestly, I haven't seen much Ford and don't know how good she is, but I thought she has been impressive in the couple Dynamite matches she's had. I'd be probably find that the second or third match I'm most interested in watching after Jericho vs OC and maybe Moxley vs Cage. Glad this is a free TV deal though. All the matches are strong from a booking perspective but can't say there's much I think will be that good, which is again down the calibre of talent we have here.

    Is Darby self-isolating?

Ricky Starks debuted then disappeared very quickly.

Tag title match has me the most hyped after the video package this week. Pulling very much for Best Friends to win. Most of the line up looks pretty solid overall.

Ed, Brodie is trying to recruit Colt. A match aginst his SCU friends is a test.

Not really....seems like its part of a longer running story where Colt keeps losing matches so Brodie is trying to groom him and get him to join them. Sounds like shit but feels like a solid enough story for both men right now.

It’s been not terrible so far, except Colt’s really not a good actor in these segments. He looks like he’s always on the verge of just saying “I’m so conflicted!”

My other problem is that Brodie letting Colt have the pin this week is presented as this turning point for Colt that with the Dark Order he can get back on the winning path, when it was literally Brodie hitting his finish and Colt being the legal man. It just makes Colt look dumb that he’d be happy as if that’s a proper win. Should’ve at least had Colt do his own finish on top of Brodie’s.

Last I heard, Darby Allin was still not "medically cleared" to wrestle. Whether that's kayfabe for staying home, or if he's actually nursing an injury, I'm not sure.

I've enjoyed the Cabana/Lee stuff, and I wasn't too bothered by the finish, it felt more like Cabana was just that desperate for the win.

I expect Cody to beat Hager. I'm certain Colt Cabana isn't joining the Dark Order, but maybe they'll pick up the win, too. I expect Orange Cassidy to beat Jericho if they really wanna put him over big. This is one of the times I wish they had a crowd in attendance. Jungle Express will most likely secure the win via DQ... though I don't recall many AEW matches ending in a DQ.. Since every time a monster comes in they get beat, I'm really wanting Cage to buck the trend and just dismantle Moxley while still being defiant and fighting until the bitter end. Shida is winning and I'm certainly Janela is going to get the brakes beaten off of him by Archer.

Cabana in Dark Order is a weird one. Not a bad thing but I think it'll work if Colt began dressing up like the other minions and not just regular Colt Cabana.

Jericho vs Orange Cassidy is obviously the match to watch. It wouldn't surprise me if we see an Orange Cassidy win over Jericho. Banana peel win or not. The rest of the matches look fairly standard.

Hager vs Cody is an okay title match for the show but Hager isn't good so I'm not too into that match. Cage is generally someone I skip but he's seem to reign in his tendencies so him vs Moxley sounds intriguing. Page/Kenny v Best Friends is another fine title match. The rest is serviceable undercard material.

Honestly, they've split the two nights out very well. It's nice that the World Title is the only title match for the 2nd show. The world title feels like it has been slightly overshadowed by other storylines or titles for Mox's run. Even though I'm sure we're all looking forward to Cass/Jericho more, they've definitely done the World title justice booking-wise here.

The card is REALLY good for free television, I think we've just become overly spoiled tbh.

I suspect that this is AEW's marketing department going into overdrive. It definitely could have made for a fantastic PPV, but I sense that they're hoping it'll pop a rating and get more eyeballs on the promotion if they do it on free TV. By bringing more eyeballs to their shows next week and the week after, they'll hope to build a bigger audience base for the future. Brilliant idea.. Whilst rewarding your existing fans too.

I'm still suspicious that Cage/Moxley will be cancelled. Them putting Mox on the second night, by the way, is clearly due to Renee's diagnosis and the timeframe needed for COVID-19 to pass.

They've done numerous TV specials in the past. Bash At The Beach, Rock & Rager Shows, what would have been Blood & Guts. It's a nice stop gap between PPV's to keep TV engaging.

Also, it's all being filmed on the first night. So it all depends on if Mox tests positive between now and Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning.

^ Surely Moxley should be quarantining for 14 days?

I think things may be different in America. It's been reported he and Renee are staying in different parts of the house, and he's testing daily.

Of course, he may not feel comfortable travelling regardless or AEW may not feel it's worth the risk.

Or you know, because the World Championship match should go on last, that's the more logical train of thought.

Explain why the Stadium Stampede match went on last then? From a marketing perspective, it's whichever match is the most exciting/sought after that should take place last. From an obvious storyline perspective, the title match should be last.

The Stadium Stampede match has nothing to do with what I replied to. You insinuated that them putting the Mox match on night 2 was because of a cause for concern with COVID. This was the marquee match for Fyter Fest from the get-go, not even comparable to the disappointing build-up and amount of disinterest from the community online for Brodie/Mox. Cinematic/over-the-top matches have also been performing extraordinarily well, so to have your biggest stars in the company not named Mox competing in a showdown that had been brewing for ages, in-line with the fact of how hot some of the segments were (the brawl leading up to it for example), it was perfectly excusable to put it on last, especially since it's fair to say it over-delivered. The Stadium Stampede however, does not suddenly suggest that the World Title match should not typically go on last. Cinematic matches are an outlier and are the hot thing right now during the pandemic, it doesn't always have to be a cookie-cutter by the books type of card. However, it's blatantly obvious here that it's on Night 2 because it's the match meant to close out the show, and no other reason.

Also if it all being filmed in one night is said to be true, then that even further disproves your bold statement of 'is clearly due to Renee's diagnosis' being the reason for it being on Night 2.

Apologies. I should have made my point better. Instead of suggesting that Moxley's position on Night 2 is due to Renee's coronavirus test, I should have said "It's a good idea to have Moxley on night 2 because, if they were taping in real-time instead of in one night, that would make things safer for Moxley to participate if he isn't quarantining".

hmmm I wonder if that means they're taking more precautions and leaving JR at home. Either way Jericho kills on commentary and lifts the mood of a show.
