Man this is too young in the current world. Always got a kick out of him being the ring announcer at Mania to introduce the Hall if Famers every year. An iconic voice. RIP Fink

I guess I never realized he was the first employee. Very sad news. Not many voices could make things feel as important as his did. RIP.

Re: The Fink Has Passed Away

For me, Howard Finkel is the ring announcer when it comes to wrestling. A tremendous loss.

Also the originator of the ‘Wrestlemania’ name, he really is part of history.

Such a huge shame . Would certainly consider him the "voice" of pro wrestling. RIP Fink

Not been a good few days for wrestling, has it

Bummer to hear. No-one made anyone sound as important and larger-than-life like he did. RIP.

This is awful news. You would do the history of wrestling injustice if you didn't mention The Fink, especially when it comes to the origins of WrestleMania.

A legendary voice. Wonder what WWE does as a tribute for him.

Re: The Fink Has Passed Away

    Absolutely devastating.

Might need to go watch old episodes of Legends House and reflect on all the greats we've lost.

So many great moments from this legendary voice and character. But, if I had to pick one to sum up everything, I think I would choose a more recent moment and go with his Survivor Series 2011 introduction for CM Punk. I think that was Finkel in a nutshell. So overcome with emotion, crying tears of happiness while everyone in attendance chanted his name. Beautiful moment for a beautiful man. RIP, Fink. Thanks for decades of memories.

Fink is the GOAT of ring announcing and always will be. An iconic voice that will live forever. Nothing was ever better than someone winning a title and hearing "and the neeeeww!"

    Sad days

Re: The Fink Has Passed Away

This is the last ting we needed among all this news. What a travesty. He was younger than I thought he was too at 69, too young to die for sure.
An iconic voice and one that when you heard it you instantly thought of wrestling. There won't be another like him, he was the best ring announcer WWE/F ever had and in my mind the best ring announcer in wrestling period. RIP Fink.

This week just gets more depressing for wrestling. He didn't seem to be in the greatest of health over the past few years, RIP.
