Bit of a shame to tie an anchor to him with such a horrible gimmick, but I'm glad he's back from Mexico.

I agree with you guys. I liked Kawato but this first appearance wasn't great. I do want to know now when OKA is returning.

Really not interested in Oka either but fuck me if the Great Okharn and Master Wato are going to be a thing then Gedo has been watching too much DDT. Fully expecting Master Mino (Pink ranger) instead of Shooter now

EVIL strikes me as someone they're going to use as akin to a Goto. Good title challenger here and there but never going to be anything super serious. If EVIL does win tomorrow then I imagine they're just beefing Naito's reign whilst giving some story to play off of.

He looks super awkward and uncomfortable. Some better fitting attire and a tweak in look will do him fine.

Kawato was one of the worst wrestlers in the world in Mexico so I have little interest in him in an all time awful gimmick like this.

Doing Naito/EVIL doesn't really burn off any big match. I think EVIL's the hot favourite to win tomorrow.
You can (and I did and was wrong) make the same argument against running Hiromu vs. Okada in an empty arena and you could have said the same about Okada/Naito in a one day build at the Dome. Not saying EVIL won't win because they have this heel story for him going but it's clear that Gedo sees the brand as the draw and books as such. If EVIL wins I doubt that logical reasoning will have anything to do with it.

Thats a fair point, they have already given away some interesting drawing matches in this tournament when they didn’t need to.

I'm thinking by this point that they'll lose nothing from doing that match at Dominion since they've done the match at the Dome 3 times (twice as a drawing, successful main event). But probably not in a half empty building. They wouldn't have trouble selling out Osaka Jo-Hall for any title match honestly. EVIL would be a fine choice in that sense. LIJ vs LIJ has some lure about it.
