Man the fact that Lethal is only 84 seems like a mistake lol. I forgot to send my list but he was in my top 25.

Xavier is probably the guy with the worst resume of the New Day guys but he's a fine talent and deserves a place for being part of such a great team.

Jay Briscoe once upon a time would have been a top 10 pick. Phenomenal wrestler in his prime

Re: Best Workers of the Late 2010s Project - RESULTS COUNTDOWN!

Lethal was hurt by my sporadic peaks of watching ROH, bad memory and lack of footage that I can find for free. Enjoyed his last few years with the Gresham feud and tags but that's usually all I've checked out. Very small compared to some others on my top 50. Same with Jay Briscoe.

Similar to the Bucks, I wasn't sure where to put New Day so I didn't.

Re: Best Workers of the Late 2010s Project - RESULTS COUNTDOWN!

I had Woods at #47. Like Shock I'd agree he has the weakest catalogue of matches to pick from.

That is a big gap between the Bucks on indy's list.

Lethal has been good for ROH, probably after Gresham he'd be my favourite guy from ROH in this period.

These haven't been Jay's best years because there's not been much singles stuff, and Jay continues to be hard to enjoy/support with the homophobia, so he missed out for me.

    #80. Sasha Banks (3 votes, 27 points)

"I think being apart of the team that's going to launch these new womens tag titles and hopefully make them a positive addition to the brand could be a really strong string to her bow which will increase the chances of me including her. Right now the 2017-2018 period makes me hesitant to say yes she'll make my list, but when the big matches come around she usually delivers and for that her batting average is at least better than Brock Lesnars."

    #79. Kohei Sato (3 vote, 27 points)

"Not afraid to escalate the violence, he has the nastiest elbows in wrestling (sorry Ohno), and generally a great moveset that all looks brutal. Him and Ishikawa made a great bruiser tag team and they clearly had a really good understanding of tag wrestling psychology, having awesome matches with pretty much everyone else in Big Japan and even campy dance wrestlers like Oosugi and Senga."

    The Karate Kid…

#78. “Speedball” Mike Bailey (4 votes, 29 points)

"His recent years wrestling in DDT have been outstanding. Excelling in his tag team with Mao and as a tag wrestler, adapting to both the serious and comedic style of the promotion quite well and basically becoming one of the full time roster, showing his versatility in the process. But not only that, he has load of indie stuff in places like Defiant, CZW and PWG. Everywhere he went he wowed in his matches and got really over."

Re: Best Workers of the Late 2010s Project - RESULTS COUNTDOWN!

I'll have to make an effort to watch those Harada matches if only because I *want* to like NOAH again

I didn't vote for her, but I think if you enjoy all those Banks matches, she surely has to be the best WWE female worker. That's a higher volume than her peers. That is of course a big IF.

Sato was never going to get much support because he's a Japanese indy guy, but man that Twin Towers run with Ishikawa really was great. If we were voting on tag teams they'd maybe be my #1 for that stretch.

I had previously thought Speedball didn't have enough of a resume, but then looking back his 2015 was ridiculously good. One of the best workers in the world that year for sure.

If there is one thing I'd knock Mike Bailey for is a lack of high end singles matches. His best usually comes to great but never bonafide MOTYCs.

Re: Best Workers of the Late 2010s Project - RESULTS COUNTDOWN!

Sasha peaked too high and had culturally significant matches not to include her although the gaps in play mean she's gotta be bottom 10. Where Sasha gets in ahead of almost every other WWE woman on my list is she's never not boring to me. It's one thing to have a good match against another horsewoman, but Sasha was able to have a good match with Alexa Bliss.

Everyone else in that batch I consider to be very good wrestlers.

    #75. Atsushi Kotoge (1 vote, 33 points)

"They broke apart in early 2017 with Kotoge's push to the heavyweights, after which Kotoge largely was the bigger star and better worker with Kotoge having excellent performances as a fiery underdog which to me he was one of the better workers in the world at that point, in addition his tag team with Go helped get Go over to a crowd that previously was extremely negative towards him thanks largely to Kotoge's popularity."

    Battleships...

    #67. YAMATO (1 vote, 43 points)

"YAMATO is an excellent wrestler. His submissions are always very good, he knows how to pick apart a limb and make the holds look painful. His timing and techniques for his moves are pretty great, rarely botches and they always look smooth when he pulls off his big moves like the Gallaria. His matches always seem to have a crescendo effect to them. They start of slow but increase in intensity and fire as the match progresses. His personality and charisma are always showcased in his matches, mostly when he is a heel but he pulls it off as a face too. Excellent as a tag wrestler, even better in singles matches."

"They are good examples of guys who are "fliers" without every feeling like spot workers, can go in brawls, work in a bunch of typical wrestling Samoan tropes without it feeling dated, and have been really strong as both babyfaces and heels."

You missed opportunity to have Fatu Jr to go with El Hijo del Rikishi

With Rush still being only 31, he has a big future on top of his present. If the Park apuestas match took place, who knows how much that would've impacted his standing.

Steve do you mean 35 not 15 for Jimmy? Otherwise that’s quite the talking point

Charlotte as the top horsewoman. Sign of having more opportunities?

Usos are the best tag team of the decade and probably the best in WWE history. Thought they would break the top 50 but glad a few people had them in there.

Ah! That would have been better than scrambling for an arrest-related lyric.

Re: Best Workers of the Late 2010s Project - RESULTS COUNTDOWN!

Yeah. I love YAMATO. He's one of my favourite wrestlers and I generally think very highly of all of his matches, tags or singles. He plays a big part of some of my favourite tag matches of the time period such as the Dia Hearts vs VerserK vs Monster Express match, Big Ben (Ben-K & Big R Shimizu) vs YamaHulk, YamaDoi vs Yoshino and T-Hawk, etc. He makes the VerserK Cage Match - which is maybe top 3 match of the timeline - for me as well with his performance. And in a real story filed match where it can come off as forced, it really doesn't. 8 is a good place for him on my list since I found it really hard to put most wrestlers over him. Very select few.

"Getting the best out of wrestlers such as Andre Everett, Cain Justice, etc. Having excellent match against Chip Day and Roy Wilkins. Mostly as a face too. Which leads me onto his PWG Run which further shows his versatility since he was a superb heel in PWG as well. Being able to stand out in the PWG spotfests with Mike Bailey or having 30 minute grapple-fests in CWF is very impressive."

    #64. HARASHIMA (2 votes, 45 points)

"Often referred to as the quintessential ace because he can do anything to a high degree. If striking is your thing, HARASHIMA excels at that. Submission/Grappling, has a ton of matches that fit that. Big match/bomb-fests, he has that. Working from beneath or bullying the opponent, yes. Even working in a team, having to carry the load or otherwise. HARASHIMA even past his prime can deliver."
