I watched Mean Streets for the first time awhile back and thought DeNiro was so good in it. Casino and King of Comedy are both great DeNiro movies too, he gives such a different kind of performance in King of Comedy but I love it.

Re: WC's Fave Five Robert De Niro Movies~!

Good morning folks, as promised, the Fave Five will begin and end today, so let's get it started right now...

    5. Heat AKA GREAT ASS~! - 170 Points (Wang Chung #1, Ms-Flock #3, Wolf Beast #3, Fuji Vice #4, Shock #4, Keefmoon #5, Sully #5)

    4. Raging Bull - 220 Points (Pawsitivity Bear #1, TWG #1, Shade #2, OMB #3, Shock #3, Wolf Beast #4)

No surprise to see both of these great flicks take high spots here. As always, BIG TIME FUJI PROPS are in order for the 6 fine individuals that voted for GREAT ASS along with me, you're all simply wonderful. Heat's always been a fave of mine, and De Niro is a massive part of why it works so well. I love Raging Bull, but I just couldn't find any room for it. I'm glad so many others felt the need to give it some serious love.

    Later today, the top three~!

Re: WC's Fave Five Robert De Niro Movies~!

Alright folks, here we go, the final three...

    3. The Godfather Part II - 270 Points (Keefmoon #1, Ms-Flock #1, Necro #1, Shock #1, Wang Chung #2, TWG #3)

    2. Taxi Driver - 290 Points (Wolf Beast #1, Fuji Vice #2, Jimmy King #2, Necro #2, Pawsitivity Bear #2, Shade #3, Keefmoon #4, OMB #5, Shock #5, TWG #5)

    and YOUR number one...

    1. Goodfellas - 400 Points (Booty Love #1, Jimmy King #1, Sully #1, Keefmoon #2, Shock #2, TWG #2, Necro #3, Slick Mitch #3, Wang Chung #3, OMB #4, Shade #4)

As fitting a top three as I could have expected, each of these films feature definitive performances from De Niro. I didn't vote for either of the two gangster movies, but I do love them both and am not surprised to see them do so well. Taxi Driver has long been a personal fave and still holds up extremely well to this day. BIG TIME FUJI PROPS to all the fine folks that voted for it along with me.

So, with that, we're done another list and it'll be about a week before our next topic is up as I'm off to Vegas tomorrow. In the meantime, I hope all of you have a great week and I'll come up with another great topic for us to mull over as soon as I get back. Cheers~!

Re: WC's Fave Five Robert De Niro Movies~!

Part II would have been my #1, I'd say. Easily my favorite movie of his, if not ever.

Goodfellas is also great, and so is Taxi Driver.
    Everything will surely be alright.

Re: WC's Fave Five Robert De Niro Movies~!

I haven’t seen GREAT ASS or Raging Bull in a long time but I do remember liking them.

Goodfellas is one of my favorite movies ever, love everything about it from DeNiro to Liotta to Pesci who are all great in it. Taxi Driver is one of the best performances from DeNiro, it’s so good. I liked The Godfather 2, it’s my favorite of the trilogy but I left it off in favor of others as I figured it would get enough love from others.

    Have fun in Vegas Fuji!

I'd have backed you on The Mission Fuji. My list would've probably looked like:

    1. Heat
    2. The Deer Hunter
    3. Taxi Driver
    4. Raging Bull
    5. The Mission

HMs to The King of Comedy and Mad Dog and Glory.
