    Remembering TCON

In the rarest of circumstances, friendships forged online can become genuine, without ever once meeting that “real” person, in “real” life, as “real” as that actually is. I’ve been fortunate enough over the years to develop many of these, and cherish every single one as strongly as I would any of my more “conventional” relationships. Occasionally, if you’re old enough, lucky enough, or just willing to hang around long enough, you’ll come across an individual like TCON.

Apologies...his name was Tim. We’ll call him Tim from now on....

While many folks that are part of the forum world exist to use it as a fairly quick outlet to express their feelings, Tim sought to use it to unite people through their mutual love of both wrestling and sports. His tireless efforts to run pools, drafts, playoff contests, and everything else in between, will forever be a part of the rich history that WC contains within its ever expanding walls.

However, more than that, Tim was just this, for lack of a term more befitting, great guy.

The kind of guy that an only child like me wishes he had for a brother when he was a lot younger than the 41 years he’s pushing right now.

The kind of guy that even a jaded soul like mine can admire.

Because Tim just got “it”, whatever “it” actually is.

He didn’t need to be cool, didn’t need validation, didn’t even really need to be acknowledged. All he wanted was to be the catalyst to other people’s enjoyment.

If you were happy...he was happy.

Imagine how incredible a person would have to be to make that their main goal in an environment full of people that are perfectly content to do everything in their power to be the antithesis to that. Imagine how tough it would be for you to do that.

Then imagine how naturally it came to someone like Tim, and realize that, if you can take one thing away from a fleeting moment with another, it should always be the greatest thing they have to offer.

On the bright side, with Tim, that was everything he ever gave to us. I suppose that means it’s an easy enough thing to learn.

    Let’s do it.

    Let’s do it for Tim.

    I love you my friend.

    Au revoir.

You don't come across many people who are so genuinely helpful, nice and thoughtful these days and Tim was certainly one of those people.

Did not really know him too well. Only from his posts on the BTB. Always shocking to find out someone has passed, though. Rest In Power, Tim. You'll always be remembered here.

    Beautifully put, Fuji.

I didnt particularly know Tim, but I loved the joke thread. In a world where we all take ourselves too seriously, to share a little humour for no other reason that to share humour was a lovely thing to do. Always struck me as a nice guy, and wish I’d taken the time to get to know him. Rest in peace.

    Re: Remembering TCON

Thank you for putting this up Fuji.

Tim was the best of us. I was aware that he had issues with his health but I never once made an effort to reach out to him. Send him a pm, tell him something nice. I will never forgive myself for that even though I know he would. That's the kind of man Tim was and that's how I will remember him. So the next time that I will feel like sending a good word to someone that might need it I will actually do it. For Tim.

Well written and beautifully said Fuji.

Like others have said, Tim wasn’t here to seek validation or anything like that, he was here because he wanted to help make other people’s forum experience a fun time. He minded his own business and did his own thing, and never once complained about anything. He didn’t dislike or hate anyone here, he got along with everyone.

    Rest in power, Tim.

And since Tim was Irish, although not American, I’m gonna share this gem The Wire style.
