I think it's way too soon for MJF to turn, it's going to be a long, slow build in my eyes.

I think it'll work out alright in the end. I mean, everyone does expect MJF to turn on Cody. But if he doesn't turn on Cody for, like, months... eventually it will make sense for Cody to let his guard down. So, I could see it going just fine.

I wish there was more of an explaination as to why Cody has this match. It’s just been announced and people are making their own explanations up about him having the best w/l record. He’s won a couple of singles match, starts a weird precedent if a few singles wins gets you a world title match.

that being said it’s the natural choice of world title contender and there’s a built in story there with Jericho still wanting this thank you and disrespecting the company.

I get why they have announced it now, but ideally this would have been a great angle to run on the first TV show setting this match up. Can't say I care that much about it, but its the right match to run.

Agreed. And with the Omega/Bucks vs Jericho/Goons match announced, it would allow them to do something with that match alongside the potential #1 Contender match they could've had. Doesn't matter a ton but I do think it could've been better for TV.

We've finally had more matches announced for the show, with LAX vs The Young Bucks and Adam Page vs PAC becoming official.

I would not be surprised to see Dustin vs Sammy added to this card as well.

I gotta give them credit, Jericho Vs Cody has been built up like a huge deal and it should be the most important match left this calendar year in all of wrestling and I can't wait to see what happens. What seemed a no brainer Jericho win the moment it was announced is starting to become more unpredictable because there's a very credible winner on the other side of the ring. Cody's a megastar and the #1 babyface in this company, he will win this title one day, and with him being a VP the 'right thing to do' in Jericho keeping the title for now could easily be a case of 'plans change'.

Wonder what they'll do about the other titles. I hadn't been paying too much attention and assumed the finals was going to be at Full Gear, and especially with the bad blood between Lucha Bros and SCU that seemed like it was heating up for something bigger than a TV match. I could see Lucha Bros Vs SCU II happening on this show.

I could see them going down the route of making a #1 contenders match for the women on this show rather than run a title match itself, just because they aren't really setting anyone up against Riho yet. More so Britt that seems to be the focus.

Dustin Vs Sammy makes sense for the show, I'd be down for that.

How long do you think it'll be until they release a mid-card singles title?

I take it that Full Gear will have a team of Daniels + Kaz/Sky instead of Kaz and Sky as SCU.

I thought they said last night that Daniels is out 4-6 weeks? That's gonna be too tight for him to return.

I know Cody said it's something that's been discussed and would be debuted down the line. Then I think Nick tweeted later that it wouldn't be introduced anytime soon. I think they're wanting to build up the World and Tag titles first.

I think three titles is enough to debut in one year.

I think it's best to wait until you debut/sign more people in the midcard before you have a title for it as well. It's kind of bare and underdeveloped right now. Establish the wrestlers and feuds before, then have a title.

Yeah I don't see a new title until mid-2020 or late-2020 earliest. They've still got some guys to establish, looking forward to Anthony Ogogo and Wardlow both debuting.

I do like the idea of just having the world title, especially with everyone all on the same page and new. They've made it clear that anyone can fight for the world title, and they've done a good job of avoiding sticking guys into divisions to split between a main event and a lower card (apart from the tag division obviously).

Obviously this is just something to please Cody's classic NWA title match niche but god help us if Jericho vs Cody goes 60 minutes.

If it was a 30 minute time limit I'd say 100% it's a judges finish, but surely there's no way Jericho is wrestling for 60 minutes at his age. Perhaps this is just introducing an idea that is going to become commonplace in their world title matches.

Honestly, I kind of like the concept, it's unique to say the least. No way Jericho and Cody go for 60 though LOL, they won't and they shouldn't.
