    Shingo Takagi

Aright, let's try this again after the page suddenly refreshed on me, deleting everything I done after I almost it finished.

Higher versatile wrestler that excels in any situation. Singles, tag matches or gimmick matches such as the Steel Cage Match at Dragon Gate has every year. Has a wide range of matches that are different in structure and style. Has a great set of power moves and strikes. Very quick and suits being a nasty bully in ring.

    Re: Shingo Takagi

He's going to be there or there abouts for me for being Dragon Gate's most interesting wrestler during this period, having a really good CC last year and presumably a good BOSJ this month. I can't say long term I care all that much about him being in the New Japan Jr division.

The Veserk DoA match is great, as is Tozawa's farewell match.

2015's really the time I turned a corner on him and it felt like he found himself rising above the DG house style. Would love to see him get a push, he's done the most he can in one of the least interesting divisions around and with BUSHI of all people. I could see him standing out in BOSJ but it'll just be hard in NJPW.

Shingo Takagi vs SHO, Best Of Super Juniors

Overly long, mostly boring match that only broke the NJ Juniors mold at the very end. Going in I was under the impression there was some sort of feud leading to this, so was disappointed the first half was mostly Shingo playing to the crowd and posing rather than bringing any beef. Second half was effectively a watered down NEVER title match. I thought SHO did a decent job selling the desperation trying to put away his higher ranked opponent, but Shingo's selling felt closer to a guy flicking the on/off switch than a guy masterfully balancing strength and vulnerability. Final minutes were pretty good with SHO going back to the arm and them throwing down with strikes - about the only thing Shingo does right - but it took about 20 minutes for them to get there.

Think I'll be passing on this one.
