Charlotte is my front runner so far. Asuka right there in the rearview.

Asuka in the rearview how exactly? Isn't the thing that she has done nothing all year except have the Becky match which wasn't all that great?

Both the Becky and Charlotte title matches are two of the best womens matches of the year so far in the states.

I'm guessing Momo is a front runner from Japan.

I don't see that at all. The Becky match was a good match, but not a great one. You could easily argue that there were better women matches on the same show. The Charlotte match didn't register with me at all. It was a simple TV match that had a title change. Didn't get the hype with that match.

Edit: I also disagree that they are two of the NA based women's match.

This seems like the general consensus, yes.

I say so Momo vs Jungle in my top three for Match of Year it's that strong of a Match I felt. Momo is so consistent these days and she just turned 19 recently and it scares me what Momo will be like when she's 24 or 25. Right now she has the switch to where she's innocent and then tough as nails when people are coming for her White Belt/Tag Titles. In a few years she might not have a off switch.

If Saree ever beats Hashimoto in Sendai Girls for the World Title I'll bump her up and say she could be my front runner it that happens. Sareee vs Kong is one of those Matches people to want to see especially when those pics from Diana were on Twitter. It was blood, violent, and entertaining and unless Diana never releases their Match on their Youtube Channel we might never see it.

Fujimoto and Yukihi have been also been doing really well as well this year so far never forget about them. I can't lie, even though she Double J herself to winning the Sead Title Nanae Takahashi from recent Shows so far for me has done really good with talent who so raw and bringing out greatness in them.

    What Ed said, basically.

Plus, in general, Asuka never disappoints. I never have to wonder if her match is gonna be a complete flop like I do most of the roster. I even liked the Mandy Rose match.

I think it's a very close race between Mayu & Momo at the moment who would also be 2 of my top 3 overalls at this point in ring.

I thought Asuka and Becky was good and worthy of praise, the Charlotte match was very average and the bad taste it left drug it even further down. Regardless, Asuka is getting lapped a zillion times over by the Joshi ones tho.

Yeah I feel she might be pushed back isn't she taking some time off to nurse some injuries? Miyu Yamashita is another lady who has been dominate, maybe too dominate for my liking. She might never lose the TJPW World Title, it's her and everyone under her is on two steps behind I feel. It's that big fish in a small pond for me at times, Yuka I thought could of taken the Title from her and she's gone off to AEW. Ito I don't see giving her the Title, she's popular, but she lacks the skills to be a credible Champion long term, but here's hoping Saiki or Maki step up and push her hard in 2019.

Miyu just doesn't have the talent around her to really threaten this year I feel like, but her match with Nodoka Tenma was very strong and Sakazaki was good too, it's just she couldn't carry Itoh the same way Mayu carried Tora to one of the best matches of the year. She won't be out long enough to where it'll hurt her if she keeps up her current pace IMO.

No one really stands out so far. The women who have been featured the most (Charlotte/Becky/Ronda) were stuck in their terrible feud all year so far. And the star from all that; Becky I find really underwhelming. Just decent on the mic, some things she does in the ring are really slick mostly here submission/grappling transitions but her general ring work is really awkward and sloppy.
