    What If??? A HBK Question.

So I just got done watching "Living on a Razor's Edge" A Scott Hall doc and in it he talks about how he was offer more money and Guaranteed contract by WCW to go wrestle for them and him and nash took the offer and went to WCW. Now we know that "The Clique" (HHH,HBK,Hall,Nash) were all close and we know HBK would go on to wrestle in the WWF for years to come and lead the company as its star but my question for you guys here to discuss and debate is this.

What If HBK goes to WCW w/ Hall & Nash?

    Spoiler:

    CWA World Heavyweight Champion
    Brayden Bridges

His back is already fucked so he retires in 98 then WCW goes out of business before he makes his comeback

We don't have to suffer WWE projection of him being a GOAT

Honestly I'd say he does fine with Nash and Hall being by his side and I imagine others too, but you still got Hogan and you don't know if Shawn would be a draw in WCW to justify a top spot or not. Maybe a main event run before he becomes Nash and does what he wants until he isn't used or like Hall and fired.

Hogan prob still be the 3rd man and Shawn would be underused or misused like Bret.

He’s the third man for sure and the nWo isn’t near the impact stable it was.
There is no DX so Trips doesn’t become leader of it the Steph angle doesn’t happen maybe they don’t date.
Bret doesn’t get screwed and he stays there forever.

TBH it would have been awful

Shit, I agree with you 100 percent. You could even take those thoughts a step further- The Mr. McMahon character is never born because Bret never screws Bret, and Austin doesn’t have the meteoric rise fighting his evil boss. This question is truly one of the biggest “what if’s” of the 1990’s.

Austin probably wouldn't have feuded with McMahon but I do believe he would have still become who he became, albeit differently.

Austin was already on his way since it was vs Bret he had his face turn. I think Mr McMahon would have eventually come out to play but maybe not at the epic levels.

If Shawn goes to WCW he probably convinces Bischoff not to fire Waltman though. Chyna met HHH and HBK in 1996. If Shawn's in WCW that likely doesn't happen and she probably joins WCW as they wanted her. With no Shawn there's no DX lets be real here. The Outlaws still probably become a successful tag team though.

He still could have met her since she was trained by Kowalski but it definitely would have been different. I doubt he'd go back there since he would have already had 2 failed runs.

Trips never had the stroke in WWF without Shawn to get his own stable let’s be real here. I think he’d still have worked himself to the main event eventually but his road would have been a whole lot rockier.

Savage and Steph never happened that’s a ludicrous rumor.

It isn't though. If HBK goes to WCW in 1996, he avoids the casket match in 1998 that originally gave him the back injury. Granted, he likely dies from drug abuse in WCW, but technically speaking, his back will be completely fine.

I mean he did injure it against Sid so I guess it wasn't totally fucked but it still wasn't great

Yeah, this. Without meaning to be macabre, Shawn was fucked up back then and WCW was not the environment to help with that. I think Shawn has a good solid career and politiks himself in to a nice position, but his worst excesses would take out and he end up in a bad way.

Honestly, as much of a shame it was that he missed 4 years in ring, it's probably what saved his life and got him to chill the fuck out.
