    Sasha Banks

Seems odd to have had a thread for every horsewoman but her when I think she's got a stronger case than Becky.

Her big years are right at the start of this project. In 2015 she's the ever present in the Takeover womens title matches that all rule and some of which are legit MOTYC. I think out of the 4 of the HW, Sasha was the one that got her act down and became a star first. I think when she gets called up to the main roster with the ill-fitting team BAD, it was creatively a lousy time for the women but Sasha to me was someone that raised the quality of matches in that division almost instantly but it wouldn't be until 2016 when some really good stuff happens. Mania 32 she was involved in the MOTN that was really the starting point of the Charlotte/Sasha feud that was the only bright spot of Raw once the brand split happens; I know I'm a high man on most of their matches, particularly the HIAC one, but idc, I love those two together.

Once you get into 2017 she starts to feel less important; there's still some good matches here and there like the Alexa Bliss feud with the balls of fire match which I think is Bliss' best ever singles match, but it just feels like she goes forever without doing anything of note. Her 2018 is so frustrating because she's excellent at the start of the year, she's a great hand in the debuts of the womens rumble and chamber matches, she has the awesome Raw match with Asuka and her feud with Bayley is the one thing crowd's are really getting behind on the road to Wrestlemania. However mania comes and goes and they shit the bed with the Bayley feud and stick them in meaningless tag team matches for the rest of the year. Some nights there's some bright moments like the Evolution 6 woman tag with the Riott Squad which was super entertaining, but most nights it's just another skippable Raw match. I like where we are at today with Bayley and Sasha, but the whole storyline of them coming back together as friends after the Elimination Chamber 2018 betrayal and becoming the tag champs a year later would of come off so much better if they had just thrown us a bone with a PPV Sasha Vs Bayley match at the height of their bad blood.

Her 2019 has started good with the Ronda title match at the Rumble and then the better than expected womens chamber. I think being apart of the team that's going to launch these new womens tag titles and hopefully make them a positive addition to the brand could be a really strong string to her bow which will increase the chances of me including her. Right now the 2017-2018 period makes me hesitant to say yes she'll make my list, but when the big matches come around she usually delivers and for that her batting average is at least better than Brock Lesnars.

If you love wrestlers who botch a lot, fetishize Asian culture & look mad whenever she's gonna lose, Sasha is a #1 candidate. Otherwise no.

She's got more of an argument than Becky, less of one than Bayley, much less than Charlotte.

Not really in consideration for me, even though I think she was one of the best wrestlers in 2015, and I agree that the 2016 series with Charlotte was very very good.

Exactly where I'm at with the horsewomen, and I'm not sure how that order is gonna change in Sasha's favour because I could see Bayley being the better performer in their tag matches going forward as that's how it's been mostly the last year, but at least you see some positives in Sasha's CV.

Her Raw match & boo boo face at WM was just another great reminder of how truly shit she is. I wouldn't say she's worse than Alicia, Lana, etc. but anyone even remotely competent she's miles behind.

Sasha is a tough one. Some days she can be really atrocious with her notoriously sloppy approach, but she can also be really good. I don't think she'll be any high on my list

Even though I posted those .gifs, I do like Sasha. I think she clearly *gets* wrestling and can be really good when her matches have thought put into them, but like most of the women wrestlers on the roster her execution is downright ugly most of the time.

    Re: Sasha Banks

Botches in 2019 don't take away her being great at other points in her career and being one of the most influential women of this era. The mania main event proved that anyone on this roster is prone to bad execution (other than Asuka I guess). She isn't having a good year thought and it will be factored into my rankings if she doesn't turn it around.

The boss and hug connection TV matches have proven she should of spent more time practicing double team moves and psychology than posting about wanting tag titles on social media.

    Re: Sasha Banks

Literally her only moments of her career where she looked genuinely good were less than a handful of matches in NXT that she got to practice move for move hundreds and hundreds of times before actually wrestling. She hasn't had a single big match where she didn't blow multiple spots and drag the match down. She's like a backyard wrestler. Watched a bunch of Japanese wrestling and took a bunch of stuff from there that she just isn't capable of doing effectively. That's literally her entire career.

She’s just been flat out abysmal for more than half of this span. I can’t buy her into being one of the elites and I haven’t bought into that for the last two and a half years.

    Re: Sasha Banks

I've yet to see a match from Sasha Banks in which she has had a good performance and not needed to be carried. I would honestly rather watch a Dana Brook performance then a Sasha Banks one. I don't see her as a good wrestler; however I do understand the argument for her having more reason to be considered then Becky Lynch with what she has done. Completely worthy of a thread based on achievement alone, but I don't think she's a good enough wrestler for the list.

You should watch (or rewatch) some 2015 Takeovers then.
