Elimination Chamber WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 - WWE Championship Elimination Chamber

    Quote Originally Posted by WWE.com
At WWE Elimination Chamber, "The New" Daniel Bryan will defend the WWE Championship against AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy and The New Day’s Kofi Kingston inside the dreaded Elimination Chamber.

The initial announcement came on the heels of the chaotic Royal Rumble pay-per-view, where Bryan survived Styles’ challenge thanks to the surprise arrival of Rowan. When the referee was inadvertently knocked down by an errant kick from AJ, Rowan rushed into the ring to smash Styles to bits with a menacing chokeslam, allowing Bryan to pin his opponent as the referee recovered for the three-count.

Two days later on SmackDown LIVE, The Phenomenal One emerged to take issue with Bryan’s tactics, only to be interrupted by a slew of the blue brand’s elite Superstars looking to stake their claim for an opportunity to challenge The Beard. Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe and Mustafa Ali soon joined the fray, and a snide comment from The Samoan Submission Machine to The Phenomenal One ignited an out-of-control melee between all five Superstars.

Bryan refused to face any of the competitors on the ground that they were all “fickle,” but WWE COO Triple H soon joined the party and informed the outspoken titleholder that he would face all of them inside the career-altering combat zone!

However, after Rowan sent Ali crashing through the announce table during a wild altercation on the blue brand, the up-and-coming Superstar was no longer medically cleared to compete inside the Chamber. As a result, The New Day were granted the right to decide which member would take his place, and the “positive” reinforcement turned out to be none other than the high-flying Kingston.

In the Elimination Chamber, two competitors will start the bout while the remaining four Superstars remain enclosed in pods. At specified intervals, a pod will open at random, enabling a Superstar to enter the match. This will continue until all six of the combatants have joined the bout.

After emerging victorious in a Gauntlet Match between the Elimination Chamber combatants on SmackDown LIVE, Randy Orton earned the right to be the last Superstar to enter the career-altering contest.

Any Superstar can be eliminated at any time via pinfall or submission and must leave the chamber. The last Superstar standing will be the WWE Champion.

Don’t miss WWE Elimination Chamber, Sunday, Feb. 17, streaming live at 7 ET/4 PT on WWE Network.

I honestly only see Daniel Bryan winning this match, can't picture anyone else winning it besides AJ if not Bryan.

Can’t help but feel that Almas or Rey should have been in this ahead of Jeff (who I’m guessing was included to do some crazy shit)

But Bryan walks out as champ here so it doesn’t matter much.

while I’d agree, it’s pretty hard to escape that it’s those two that have missed the cut here and I’d expect some match between them on the show.

Its a great line up, what a opportunity for Ali to get a main event with all these guys. And finally some AJ/Orton interaction after 2 years of nothing.

Bryan retains in the Elimination Chamber and to think Bryan in his career has only won once in the Elimination Chamber which was 2012 for the then World Heavyweight Championship and Bryan at that time was the champion. Fast forward 7 years later he is more or less in the same position and Bryan will end up retaining the title like he did that night 7 years ago. If Bryan should lose this match, as for who wins if Bryan loses it will end up being AJ or Orton.

However, Daniel Bryan is my pick to walk out of the Chamber still the WWE Champion.

Hopefully Bryan retains and ends the feud with AJ Styles. I think both of them need a fresh feud.

Re: WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 - WWE Championship Elimination Chamber

Very happy to see Mustafa Ali getting a prolonged push in the main event scene on Smackdown. Shows that somebody in the back is pushing for him to be a sucess, I know that Bryan for example was advocating for him but I'm sure that there's some others too.

I can see why some would be a bit off that Mysterio and Andrade are missing out on this match, but I think we could see them have their own separate match, which I'm more than happy with given how well they've worked together so far.

Bryan should retain here and I echo those who say that I hope that this is the end of Bryan vs Styles too. I could see them having another singles match at Fastlane while we also get a #1 contenders match at that ppv, but I hope not. I wouldn't mind Bryan sitting out Fastlane and then see the Smackdown main event for that ppv be a #1 contenders match.

All 6 men are having a gauntlet match on SD to decide the entry order in the chamber. Should make for a very good episode of SD.

Rumors are swirling now that Ali is going to be removed from the Chamber due to injury.

Any bets on who takes his spot? My money is on Rowan for the final spot but there are plenty of potential candidates.

Ali could be out from the Chamber which means if true we might see some kind of Match to decide the final spot maybe with Mysterio and Almas?

Loads of options, could do one of the New Day, that's what I would do.

Completely left field but Killian Dain would be awesome in this sort of match.

Absolutely. It's easy to forget about Killian unfortunately. Before the SaNity call up he was looking like gold on NXT. Hope they can get back on the right track with him after Mania.

Some people have brought up Bray Wyatt as a contender to fill the spot. Fans, of course. There's no substance to the idea. But, that would be cool too and would make perfect sense with the recent Bryan and Rowan story. As shitty as his last few years have been, I'd really like for him to get another shot with some sensible booking and maybe a tweaked character.

Apparently Harper is returning to TV this week.

Really sucks that Ali is gonna miss this one, he's the one who provided something different to this match.

Yeah for sure. I remember the first Chamber and feeling that way about Rvd thirsty to see what the guy can do in such a structure. I'll take anyone for the last spot as long as it's not Rowan or Bray. Keep them away

Come on, he can still salvage his WWE career if he just changes parts of his character and most of his in ring style.

Re: WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 - WWE Championship Elimination Chamber

Such a shame that Ali is injured and misses this. I was really looking forward to seeing him in this kind of match. Hopefully he'll be back in the mix when he's healthy.

As for replacements there's a few options, none which make a huge amount of sense, however.

I'd hate to see Rowan in there personaly. I'd prefer seeing Luke Harper out of the blue entering. I'd keep his intentions and alegiances a mystery and then in the match itself have him help Bryan win. Rumour has it he's set to stick with Rowan and then have both of them follow Bryan.
I'm a big fan of Harper but I don't have any hope in WWE pushing him seriously as a singles star unfortunately, and to his credit he's good in a tag team withg Rowan or as an enforcer so this would be a good role for him.

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Bray Wyatt return in this spot, but he's not going to win the match so what's the point? Matt Hardy is another option to fill the empty spot.

Two more suggestions; Lars Sullivan, if he's back from being AWOL, or EC3 could be put in this spot.

Awful, rotten luck for Ali. Fuck, this might make him miss out on Mania too, if it's a concussion like some are saying. I was looking forward to him mixing it up the most, so I hope he has a safe and healthy recovery.
