Aussie Open were my number six, really had a breakout year. Best UK based tag team of last year, and easily the based bot signed to a company. Also half of my favourite live match from last year (against Team Whitewolf at ATTACK Winterslam)

Re: The 2018 WC Indy/Puro/Lucha Fave Five!

    All good picks, except Cody

Bandido had an excellent year. He blew me a way when I first saw him on Dragon Gate and continued to do so in PWG and other lucha Indies.

Fell out of love with BritWres the past year, but I do like Aussie Open, just see little of them.

Nakajima was probably going to be my number one but as I'll explain why he wasn't when my #1 pick shows up. Nakajima has had a phenomenal year both in ring and character work. Totally rejuvenate himself and made up for his flaws in the past years (lack of connection and personality). His tag team with the Aggression was amazing at the start of the year, excelled in every big singles match he was given and produced MOTYC after MOTYC.

Same with with Eddie Dennis as Aussie Open except he doesn't do much for me but I hear his promos have been good.

Same thing as Bandido. Probably a bit samey and his matches can devolve into the greatest hits.

Seen PCO's WALTER match, liked it way less than some. Credit to him though.

Misaki Ohata has been very good in her last year. Her matches with Arisa Nakajima were amazing. Good pic.

MUSCULAR BOMB~! Great tag wrestler who is often the stand out in the match which trust me is a hard feat to manage. Had an excellent King Of Gate too. Very consistent.

Love Maya Yukihi. Great as a face, great as a heel. Many good matches. Overall solid wrestler in 2018.

Ibushi had a great G1 and had great tags with Omega. Not much else but that's all you're gonna get with Ibushi being Ibushi.

Cody did AEW and All In.

He's just a good heel obviously. That and I think his jacket and ring gear suck.

When you haven't got anything positive to say about Cody but you're trying to comment on everyone, go with the facts

A lot of good guys here and PCO. Aussie Open were tag team of the year contenders, and certainly the best in the UK, and Fenix was tremendous all year in a variety of promotions.

    Dennis' gear is shit.

Bandido rules. Everything he does looks so crisp and breathe taking. Had to show him love.

Aussie Open barely beat out LAX for my tag team spot.

Two fantastic wrestlers, my #2 and #3 in terms of best not favourites. I just tried to be more varied in my top 5 here than becoming loads of Britwres guys.

Zack Sabre Jr was someone I considered but he had a unremarkable year after May/June time. But before that he was having a great year. Great matches with Walter. Great NJ Cup matches. Loads of good matches in Progress and Rev Pro.

Sorry about that man, it was an easy fix. I actually had it this way originally but forgot you abbreviated ZSJ and couldn't find it on my word document so I just thought I was bad at math at the time. Glad to know I wasn't.

That Zack guy is alright. Getting a pic with him last year was a major mark moment for me

Thanks to all the voters! Apologies for making this longer than it should have been but unfortunately work got into the way and drained me.
