Jimmy just has high expectations of everyone on his team and is one of those "tough-love" people. He's like MJ but without the clout. He wanted Hoiberg to be tougher on the Bulls in his two years there. He always got on Towns and Wiggins for not being harder workers. If Embiid and Simmons are hard workers, then Jimmy is going to be just fine there. If they are young and relying on their God-given talents more than practice intensity and seeking improvement, then he won't fit.

Oh for sure he has that mind set. Brent Brown isn't going to take that shit trying to break apart the team so if everyone keeps their egos in check they could do some special things together. The Sixers are thin on the Bench and the Trade made it worse, so they might need to make a move or two before Season's end to add depth.

I feel like everyone suspected GSW was on its way to an implosion for a while now with the fact that Klay wanted his max and Durant kept coming back for short term deals. All indications are pointing to Durant for sure heading out after this season. I hope they're able to come together to actually get the 3-Peat done, though. I'm also very interested in seeing if GSW can keep challenging for titles with Durant gone again. There would at the very least be potential to bring back DeMarcus Cousins should Durant head out which could basically make Durant's departure a non-factor.

Is this a dream Sixers dominate the Magic 90 percent of the game and the Sixers in the 4th quarter were in LALA Land and the Magic went on a 20-0 run and the Sixers never was able to control the game. Butler played okay, he had I think 14 or 15 points, but you can see even the team figuring out the way he plays as he learns the Offensive and Defensive sets.

By the way HoHo, thank the Sixers for Covington and Saric. Covington has 13 pts and 2 assists and Saric's got 9 & 1. I think they'll be fine playing here if they keep that up (and hopefully doing even more).

Just unfortunate we don't have Derrick Rose playing tonight.

I also wanna mention that Josh Okogie is turning out to be a damn fine rookie.

I think we have a good team set this year now, we just need to stay healthy and find ways not to shoot ourselves in the foot.

Fuck's sake, man. Like I said, if we can prevent shooting ourselves in the foot.

That was scary, but we got the job done. Covington and Saric looked good, though.

Levert got incredibly lucky with that injury. He won't need surgery, just a dislocated ankle and some muscle damage, but it could have been a LOT worse.

Low key I hope he grabs himself a Warriors contract and gets him a title.

EDIT: He's the only one of the 2003 big picks that did not get one.

In three Games Jimmy Butler has 57 points and none came more important than him blocking Kemba Walker, keeping it in bounds after the block, then having the game winner for the team so awesome.

Re: 2018-19 NBA Season Discussion Thread

We're about a quarter through the season now,

Eastern conference: Wow before the start of the season, I thought Washington was your typical treadmill team, I did not expect them to collapse this hard. Curious to see how they blow it up. I expected Boston to be the clear cut number one in the east even ahead of the Raptors with Kawhi, but that's not happening either. They still have 3/4ths of the season to go but they're off to a rocky start. Milwaukee is the most surprising team for me thus far in terms of success. Everything else is pretty standard.

Western conference: The Clippers and the Grizzlies are currently sitting atop of the West with the same record holding the 1 and 2 spots respectively. LMAO WHAT IN THE FUCK?? Denver playing better than I expected them too. I feel like Im the only person who doesn't sleep on Portland, they're never promising on paper but they always show up. People always sleep on this team even though they show why you shouldn't, year after year now. The Kings are over-performing beyond everyone's exception. Yeah sure, they're not sitting in the top 4 but everyone thought this was a perennial lottery team. They have no big names but they're playing well thus far. Houston and ESPECIALLY Utah are the most disappointing part of the West so far. Houston has a slight excuse but Utah.. er wtf

Jimmy MOTHERFUCKIN' Buckets two Game Winning shots since coming to The Sixers impressive stuff. Granted I celebrate the win, but the test is when my 76ers face The Celtics or Raptors again. Wizards is a shock to see them struggling, but hey I'm hearing they might be shopping Wall and Beal at the Deadline if they are out of it, and Beal would be a nice fit for my Sixers.

Excellent win there from the Timberwolves to finally get to .500

I could be wrong, but Minnesota right now has a good team on their shoulders and could sneak into the playoffs again as a mid-tier seed.

Also, that Okogie kid is amazing. 12 points in 10 minutes is something spectacular, and so was the 40-point lead to win the game.

EDIT: It feels weird to be excited for the Timberwolves for once.

Yeah I've been keeping a eye on The Wolves more since the Trade that went down and Saric and Covington have been good assets for their team. Butler has been killing it, he's starting to fill in nicely as the team has gone 7-3 in their last 10. December 5th Raptors vs Sixers yeah I'm going to be watching that hard to see how the team responds.

That was a quality win there for the Timberwolves. Down by 18 points at the half, they chugged their way to a 14 point win today against the team that bounced them in the playoffs.

I think the Wolves are making a very good case for underrated team this year. I still think they could sneak in late into the playoffs. Onto the Hornets, Blazers, and Warriors.
