    Penn St seemed to have that game from the beginning, but the Buckeyes would not be denied. This will have a major impact on the Big 10 and may have a similar impact on the playoffs.

    Let's be honest here the Buckeyes played like garbage that first half especially their QB. Hawkins still didn't do a damn thing in the Second Half but was saved on Screen Plays that went for a bunch of yards due to bad Tackling as the Defense kept them in the game. It honestly came down to bad Tackling and Play Calling down the stretch and one of the worst calls to not ball in the game in the hands of McSorley on 4th and 5. The kid was killing Ohio State in this game on the ground, but why in the hell do you use a easy Run Play to the RB acting like that is going to surprise people. If you put it in McSorley hands theirs doubt on the Defenders of Ohio State on the Run vs Pass from him man that was bad. It didn't help either when your Coach is optioning to Punt the Ball on makeable FGs and instead of putting some confidence back on your Kicker which he lost, you just put it away stopping your momentum.

    That was one of the worst play calls on a fourth down call, of all time. This team was sitting pretty leading on a two-score lead until Ohio State came back and took control of the game with a one-point lead. No offense, it was a damn good game, but goddamn the play calling by Penn State gave Ohio State the game, handing it to them on a silver platter from looking at the final play by Penn State. Really embarrassing moment for the Nittany Lions.

    How many HS's are in Florida? So many of these kids all over the country came out of some Florida HS.

    Anyway.....

    Howe teams like STanford/Notre Dame can compete with the SEC/Big12...??? College football is all about recruiting, so many big fast athletes simply can't make the grades it takes to be at those schools. Just don't seem fair.

    Another game, another SEC victory against Arkansas 65-31.

    Tua once again has a flawless game by avoiding turnovers. He's continues to be the leader he should be on the field. Our receivers are catching the ball in great success. Our running game and offensive line are still going strong for our offense.

    Meanwhile, our kicking game is better despite the missed PAT from Bulovas. Our defense was not at the top of their game. We managed to give up a lot of points, 31 to be exact, but our offense once again takes care of business by scoring over 60.

    I don't think Missouri will be much of a challenge next week, which I'll be at Talladega with some of my family and a couple of friends. But any given Saturday shit can happen in the SEC.

    Alabama is almost early 1900's Michigan. There was a strecth 55-1, scoring over 2800 points giving up 40 something.

    Yep, ridiculous.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    That Oklahoma QB has gotta be the fastest QB I've seen, sorry Michael.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Other than Washington the PAC12 is sucking.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The big difference we see in the SEC is an over abundance of big fast guys.
    I thought the entire point of college sports is that they're blatantly unfair
    There was a time Army and Navy were football powers, both schools have a couple Heisman winners. The Ivy League could hang.
    The SEC wasn't all that once upon a time.
    How would this Alabama team do vs those Lombardi Packers teams of the 60's?
    I'm watching an Ivy League game.
    Like all Ivy League games this is what we see.
    Few penalties
    No big and fast athletes.
    Mostly white.
    The big guys are slow.
    The fast guys are little.
    Talking Ivy League.
    The first speedy Raider was Irving "Bo" Roberson. a 1960 Olympian. silver medalist 26-7, out of Cornell.
    The first Dallas Cowboy to have a 1000 yard season Calvin Hill, Yale.
    The last white sprinter to make our Olympic 4x1 team, Dartmouths, Gerry Ashworth......1964.
    The Vols beat Auburn 30-24!Auburn is that horrible of a team. I honestly think they should fire Malzahn for being upset by a big underdog of Tennessee. What a dumpster fire it has been.
    My Maine Black Bears won the second week in a row with a walk off FG.
    Neato.
    Everything will surely be alright.
    This was not a good day to be in the top 10. Georgia, Penn St, and Washington lost. West Virginia is currently down by 14 early in the 4th quarter. Notre Dame, Texas, and UCF were all within 7 points of losing to unranked opponents. Only Alabama (still playing) and Ohio St have been decisively better than their opponents. Clemson may have lucked out by not playing today.
    Alabama decisively better than an opponent?
    So, pretty much 90% of their schedule annually.
    Everything will surely be alright.
    Was this Alabama's big week against Flagler International Community College?
    Have they played Polk High yet?
    Well, when you're decisively better than 90% of the NCAA...
    Has any undefeated team had a particularly impressive schedule so far?
    Ohio St's signature win is a 1 point win over Penn St, currently ranked #18. The win over TCU doesn't look quite as impressive now that they're 3-3.
    Clemson? They're only win over a currently ranked team was by 2 points at Texas A&M (#17), a team Alabama beat by a much larger margin.
    UCF has 0 wins over teams that are ranked or even others receiving votes. Ditto for Cincinnati, USF, and NC St.
    So you've got Notre Dame. They beat Stanford and currently #6 Michigan. There's your winners.
    I'm not exactly Alabama's biggest fan, but smashing Ole Miss is more impressive than a 4 point win over Syracuse at home. What do you want from them?
    The Pac12 is going to beat themselves up and out of the final four......sheesh~~~
    Still not buying ND. They simply can't recruit the athletes we see in the SEC.
    Well, you've got to remember who Notre Dame draws. They're easily the most famous football school in the country for Catholics and have a coast to coast tv deal with NBC. This gives them national drawing power as opposed to regional power, even in a down year. A similar concept applies to Stanford: because they are so academically prestigious, they draw the smart players from every corner of the country.
    Well aware of all that, that's why I talked about how limited they are when it comes to recruiting. The Ivy League has smart players, what chance would even an all star Ivy League team stand vs a Georgia, Ohio State, USC, etc.
    The Ivy League doesn't give athletic scholarships, refuses to send their champion to any postseason football play, and as an FCS school, does not receive the media coverage of Stanford. That's not exactly an apples to apples comparison. The point is that they can recruit nationwide and apparently does so reasonably effectively.
