    Auburn made a comeback by taking the lead 14-10.

    It could be Auburn that could pull off the victory if their defense continues to shut down LSU's offense.

    Down goes #6 Wisconsin, losing to BYU 24-21! Somewhere in Wisconsin, Suntan's raging after seeing his team being upset by the Cougars. I just hope karma doesn't bite me and see Alabama lose to Ole Miss after that huge blown coverage, on the first play, throwing for a touchdown.

    In other news, Scott Frost's tenure at Nebraska is now 0-2, losing to Troy 24-19. He may win only three games this season according to the Nebraska's remaining schedule. He maybe lucky if he were to keep his job if he can't get those guys motivated.

    I was very happy of Alabama's win on the road against Ole Miss.

    After that first touchdown by Ole Miss, I thought to myself that it was gonna be a long and brutal game. Fortunately, it was a complete mismatch all throughout the game when Alabama put up 62 unanswered points, giving them a good ol' fashion ass-whooping~!

    The LSU-Auburn game was one the best games of the day. Luck was on LSU's side in the fourth quarter. Everything seemed to went wrong with Auburn, especially penalties. Kinda sucks that Auburn committed those mistakes to lose in a competitive SEC game.

    I saw something today that I have never seen in a football game before

    Wake Forest vs Notre Dame

    Wake Forest was attempting a Field Goal
    They were ready to snap the ball the ball for the kick, but the kicker was still on the sidelines
    He ran out onto the field just in time
    Result....He Hit The Goalpost

    Re: 2018 College Football Discussion Thread

    I don't think most people really reailize just how many college football teams are out there. Actually layers.

    Around 70 conferences, most with 10ish teams. Then there are the JC's.

    Southern Atlantic Conference

    Berry
    Centre
    Hendrix
    Trinity
    Rhodes
    Birmingham-Smith
    Milsaps
    Sewanee
    Austin

    I'm looking at a whole page of something similiar to that.

    Sooooooooooo many football players.

    NFL RB Chris Ivory was out of Tiffin, where is that? The Bills had a RB out of Coe, Coe???

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I have this book about strange college football..ah...happenings.
    Georgia Tech 222 Cumberland 0
    Michigan in the early 1900's (4/5 seasons) scoring over 2000 points giving up less than 40. When they finally lost....Chicago 2 Michigan 0.
    Bedford was an all black HS team in Tennessee in the 40's, they went undefeated and unscored on for a few seasons. But in that first season no opponet crossed the 50 yard line. That really is hard to believe.
    Army's Mr.Outside Glen Davis (national caliber sprinter) and Mr.Inside Doc Blanchard, both winning the Heisman.
    I'm glad to see Alabama beat Texas A&M 45-23!
    Tua was fantastic out there throwing for nearly 400 yards and scoring five touchdowns (one rushing). Our defense really had some problems against Kellen Mond's quarterback scramble. He burned us on two huge runs for over 50 yards each. We've had issues with such quarterbacks because the defense line leaves big holes for quarterbacks to gain big yards. Our defense can't afford to let those huge plays get away the next time we face these mobile quarterbacks. We need to work on that.
    At the end, I'm glad we beat Texas A&M on our home turf. That makes it 13 wins for Saban against his former assistant coaches. RTR!
    Alabama honestly shouldn't even have to play their regular season schedule. The disparity of talent between them and the rest of the teams in Division 1 seems ridiculous at times. However, as a Tide supporter (a promise I made to Doom after he made me my beloved Strike Force icon) I suppose I should be happy they're that good.
    In other news, not only did the Longhorns (my true number one team, sorry Doom) finally beat hated TCU, they looked great doing it AND I won 60 bucks betting them on the money line. HOOK 'EM HORNS~!
    None taken lol
    Congrats Fuji on winning $60 in a bet! I've won in a $5 bet against my brother when I picked the Longhorns against the Horned Frogs. Glad they won and the fact they made us some money.
    Quite possibly the biggest shock of the week is Old Dominion beating Virginia Tech with a backup QB. This is hardly a classic trap game as Tech did not play last week and their next opponent was Duke, not exactly a team worth overlooking this week's opponent.
    Old Dominion is in Conference USA, a 5-7 team in 2017. They are an FBS program.
    Saw the highlights, who was that big RB running over Hokies?
    Did anybody imply that they were not an FBS program? The shocking part is that a team that comes into a game 0-3 (0-2 in Conference USA) usually doesn't beat a ranked team by double digits on a backup QB.
    You're probably watching Jeremy Cox, who had by far his best game of the season against the Hokies.
    Yep, we usually don't see 29 point dogs winning any game out right. But....it was the same level of football.
    So what bigger shock do you have? Illinois St? I hesitate to call beating Colorado St a bigger shock. Just because a team has more scholarship players doesn't mean they are inherently vastly superior.
    Way beyond getting shocked by football game results. I have played in games where it's the big game next week we care about as we suddenly find ourselves down to a vastly inferior team zeroing in on us, we are their big game.
    Who gets up for Old Domiinon?
    White Out game tonight with Ohio State and Penn State. The first Quarter is finished and it's crazy to me that PSU is dominating Ohio State this much and they only up 3 points. Hopefully our Offense can change that and break it open.
    Me too I've been to White Out games before for Penn State and the energy is at the level of a Eagles's Home Game. I would say PSU needs to start rolling on Offense, because a 3-0 score isn't going to last forever.
