I think we will both enjoy this season more than the last few .
Its not quite 7 - 1 but ya know, we didn't concede a goal to QPR

I fucking hate Tony Pulis. 1-0, injury time winner by a centre half from a set piece. Sometimes football goes exactly to the script.

Typical Tony Pulis result haha. Not pretty but usually effective ala Allardyce.

I'm loving the Sunderland team this season, going a goal down isn't phasing us at all and we're showing far more fight than the last few seasons combined.

Up to 2nd now too, its a good time

Another home game another victory for us. Wasn't pretty at times, but another win nonetheless.

    Re: The EFL Discussion Thread.

Brilliant win today and it's one that makes a decent start to the league a good start to the league just before the international break. I feared the worst today after Berahino finally broke his drought in the cup game and the Boro loss might of knocked the confidence out of us, but we were right up for the game today and I think only winning 2-1 looks very favourably on Stoke. It was a comfortable win.

If Mo Salah had scored the first goal Gayle scored today, it would be played nonstop on SkySports for months. What a player he is. Think he might be the best out and out striker we've had at the club since Kevin Phillips.

We've suddenly found ourselves 2nd in the league....how the hell did that happen haha. I probably cursed us by saying to my Dad we could easily win 7 of our next 10 league games and find ourselves in some kind of dreamland.

We've slipped down to fourth due to another draw, referee again sounded like it was his first ever game.

    Re: The EFL Discussion Thread.

We're hitting our stride now, 3rd in the league, top scorers in the league and only 1 point off top spot. We finally got a clean sheet as well. Was great to see Leeds lose today to close in on the automatic spots. 5 goals for Gayle now, Rondon yet to score for Newcastle in the league, we seem to be having the better of that one.

Would not be surprised to see Steve Bruce sacked soon, after they beat one of the worst sides (R'ham) at home on Tuesday, Bruce cockily had a go at fans saying 'maybe I do know what I'm doing'. Well that's bit him on the arse immediately losing at home today. Stunning goal in vain for them today.

Good win for us today, bouncing back well after our first loss of the season, Maja is class at this level.

Top of the league and we have the worst defence in the top 10. Gayle and Rodriguez at it again. Goals gets you up.

What a comeback for your boys today Baldrick.

Was a shocking start but an amazing comeback. Still can't quite believe we're second in the table, especially with a negative goal difference

Nothing better than thrashing Leeds. That was our best performance of the season, we needed it after a really bad run of displays.

The Championship more than ever is looking like an ultra competitive league. Norwich now top, but probably not for long.

It's always good to see Leeds get smashed!!!

The Championship is always a tough league to call. Norwich really shouldn't have gotten anything from that game and ended up winning haha. Never expected the Sheffield derby to end in a draw, and didn't expect Villa to beat Derby by that many either. Will all change again next week.

    Rotherham United fan here.

Punching above our weight again but at least this is nowhere near the disaster (so far) that our last season at this level was. So far, we had a smashing on the opening day of the season but since then, yes we've been beaten but by the odd goal or two. We've been in most games and unbeaten in 5 currently (two wins and three draws).

I'd be happy to finish exactly where we are right now (20th).

Decent point today after another red for Power, he'll now miss 6 games and goes into double figures for games missed due to suspension, hes making Cattermole look like a saint

Lost to pesky Cheltenham to drop up down the table a little bit. Getting to an important part of the season for us now as if we can still be in contention in the new year, and hopefully in the 3rd round of the FA Cup will allow us to go after a higher calibre of player in January.

    Re: The EFL Discussion Thread.

3 wins on the bounce, we can't keep a clean sheet but we look like we have more control in matches. Hopefully that continues in December but we've got Villa and Sheff Utd before Christmas so it won't be easy.

Speaking of Villa, see their 5-5 in the week? Last time there was a 5-5 in the West Midlands, it broke Man Utd and they've never recovered.

I fucking hate sky sports. Listen to this for a run of fixtures:

Saturday 3rd Nov - Hull away. not televised
Saturday 10th Nov - Leeds home LIVE ON SKY at 5:30
Friday 23rd Nov - Ipswich away LIVE ON SKY
Wednesday 28th Nov - Swansea away LIVE ON SKY
Monday 3rd Dec - Brentford home LIVE ON SKY
Friday 7th Dec - Villa home LIVE ON SKY
Friday 14th Dec - Sheff Utd away LIVE ON SKY
Saturday 22nd Dec - Rotherham away not televised.

ALMOST TWO MONTHS BETWEEN 3pm SATURDAY GAMES. I get that with Villa and Leeds we're a big fish in the championship pond and good value for a watch as the top scorers in the 4 divisions, but we're getting screwed over here. I haven't been able to attend any away games this year because most of them have been moved to work days in the midweek.
