Savio Vega will soon be coming to MLW. Interesting pick up. People are saying he's going have himself a "PCO run". We shall see..

    Re: MLW Discussion Thread

Savio Vega? WWF, Savio Vega? He's still wrestling?

Just watched one of the clips on the page before this and it's the first time I've seen anything from MLW. Love Cornette! :D Interesting roster. MJF is awesome and I love the look of the Hart Foundation and Jacob Fatu.

Might have to check this out now and then

    Big praise. Can't wait.

Good to see people are starting to take notice. I watch it on and off but it's almost always a great show.

Timothy Thatcher has been found and is coming to MLW in July.

MLW dragging out mid carders from twenty five years ago is my favorite thing right now.

Sami Calihan has been fired/released apparently.

Heard it on the Jim Cornette podcast. Sami better hope AEW are interested if he's looking to make it in the big time because he's kind of burning his bridges at this stage and very unlikely Impact are going to be anything other then they are already at this stage.

Sami will be fine. I dunno if he's still got his own promotion and if he's sti booking CZW, but he's not struggled for work since leaving NXT. Even if something happens with Impact (which he seems to have it pretty good with), there's still ROH, AEW as mentioned, the various Puro, Lucha and Euro companies too.

Wouldn't be surprised if he was trying to get himself fired.

I think its a work/excuse to get him off TV and keep his reputation. Cornette kept burying him in commentary and I'm sure it'll be an interesting angle if Sammi ever comes back.

Yeah I suppose there's a few options. Just none that really seem like a step up aside from AEW which there's always that option. I guess if you're happy creatively and making money- there's no reason to seek that step up though.

Moxley vs Calihan could be something!

I'm interested in anyone's opinion on the Contra Group vs. Tom Lawlor and the Von Erich brothers.

    What a brawl!

I heard it was good, I've not yet seen it. Is it up on YouTube or anything?

    It is. Check it out!

They built it up really well and the Von Erichs are WAY better than I imagined them being.

Here it is for anyone wanting to watch the episode.

I started watching the show, but I'm heading out in a little bit so will have to watch it later.

Thoroughly enjoyed it for the all out brawl it was. MLW right now is the only wrestling I make a point to watch every week at the moment & the hour breezes by. It’s by no means perfect, and *some* of the Contra stuff feels a bit out of place at times, but it’s such an easy watch for me. Jacob Fatu is going to (hopefully) be a major star in the future.

I'm right there with you Wolfy. It isn't a "perfect" wrestling show, but it is entertaining. I like the hodge-podge feel of it. It has a little bit of everything for everyone. Hardcore, high flying, lucha, comedy, mma styles all sort of merge into a fun hour that does fly by.

The Dynasty and Hart Foundation angle is really fun. Lots of great wrestling and matchups for MLW to explore.

You’re spot on with the hodge-podge feel of it. I’ve been watching tons of old ECW from 95-96 lately, and I really get those raw, underground ECW vibes with MLW. The hour breezes by- hardcore, Lucha, technical, all shit you would see weekly on ECW. And you never know who is leaving to sign with a bigger company, and you never know who is coming in to debut. They have a lot to still work with even after the bigger roster losses. It is becoming must see for me.
