    What the fuck!

Jeez, RIP Lionheart. That last tweet is just tragic if it's what I think it means

Yikes, that's tragic. Unfortunately I'm fearing the same thing Dave is there given that tweet and how abrupt this is.

Their boom period ended a while back, but ICW were very much a part of this decade of British wrestling gaining popularity and Lionheart was one of their main boys. Their contributions shouldn't be ignored.

That’s super tragic. He was one of the guys who had a hand in ICW getting the popularity they got. Rest In Peace. Really shitty to hear.

Sad to hear. I never really saw him wrestle but he is one of the names I associate with British Wrestling despite that which speaks volumes on his impact. R.I.P.

I remember goin to an ICW show, it was a charity show where under 18s were allowed & a saw him wrestle Damo/Killian Dain. After the show I spoke to him outside the venue for like 15-20 minutes. Saw him a few times in Ayr as well putting up posters for Pro Wrestling Elite. The weird thing is that he remembered me, never by name, just remembered that we spoke outside ICW at the charity show. It's truly heartbreaking knowin that he's gone, especially when he was hitting his prime as a wrestler. Cheers Adrian. R.I.P.

Charlie Morgan has announced her retirement today aged 27. Along with Kid Lykos that's a couple of sad retirements this year in Britwres. Given the lack of depth of British female wrestlers, I could of seen her being a decent player in WWE UK going forward.

When it rains it pours. Jack Sexsmith has tonight announced his retirement after knee injuries. Rotten few months for the scene.

Was never a big fan but he was a hit with the local scene and it always sucks to see someone retire before they hit their full potential.

Explains his sudden disappearance from about this time last year. I will say that whilst his push in PROGRESS was overbearing, I did catch him at a few ATTACK shows and he fit in far more there. Again, a shame.

Re: The Official British Wrestling Discussion Thread

Defiant Wrestling (aka the old What Culture pro wrestling) have closed down. Felt inevitable in the end. Money mark feds can't last forever without income, and youtube monitisation dropping them meant having to convert free customers into paying customers and they couldn't produce a product that achieved that.

Re: The Official British Wrestling Discussion Thread

It's weird, I always thought WCPW/Defiant was a bit shit, even when the Cultaholic lads were there. I still feel a bit bad they're gone though, I knew quite a few people who took an interest in indie wrestling through watching Defiant. Plus its one less option for wrestlers to work which kinda sucks
