    WWE PPV Schedule 2012

Sports Business Daily has released the latest list of WWE PPVs with the dates they are scheduled to take place. WWE will see a three week cycle four times during the year, with back to back cycles in September, October and November. Of course by then the B shows are expected to have migrated to the WWE network so the buyrate will be much less important at that point, at least in theory.
Here is the current listing of shows with their dates.

    -- Jan. 30: Royal Rumble
    -- Feb. 19: Elimination Chamber
    -- Apr. 1: WrestleMania 28
    -- Apr. 29: Extreme Rules
-- May 20: Over the Limit
-- June 17: Bragging Rights (replacing Capitol Punishment)
-- July 15: Money in the Bank
    -- Aug. 19: Summerslam
-- Sept. 16: Night of Champions
    -- Oct. 7: Hell in a Cell
    -- Oct. 28: Vengeance
    -- Nov. 18: Survivor Series
    -- Dec. 16: TLC
Looks like Bragging Rights is back, I guess it makes more sense having it in June just after the draft, in the only few months where the draft is takien semi seriously.

So they can win the trophy that never gets mentioned again? Awesome.

Like most things involving the brand split, Bragging Rights sucks because WWE have made an awful job in the last 6 years of making the brand split mean anything.

Exactly. What's the point of a draft or Bragging Rights if they're going to continue with the supershows?

2 they could easily get rid of are Bragging Rights and Vengeance. Push Extreme Rules back a week or so, Over the Limit back to mid June and Hell in a Cell back to mid October.

The supershows will stop at around the same time of the draft, like they do every year.

Well instead of ONLY mentioning the bad, at least they made the right move in if having Bragging Rights, the best time to have it would be post-draft and more importantly, not right next to Survivor Series.

Especially if they continue with the elimination match, it made Survivor Series seem less important.

Exactly. Good decision here, imo. Now if only they treated the brand separation more meaningfully and everything would rule.

Yeh I don't get particularly why they are carrying on with the Supershow, should really be a two way street. But I thought that looked like a good line up, I enjoy Bragging Rights.

Night of Champions, Vengeance, and HIAC again have three weeks to be promoted. The sad part is that people are still buying the three PPVs too.

That's actually an improvement to two weeks they've done before. Factor in one or two will be on the WWE Network, and suddenly it's not so bad, is it?

    Re: WWE PPV Schedule 2012

If they just make Bragging Rights into a normal PPV, it's great to have it back. Capitol Punishment was a cute little name, but unless you're going to keep going back to Washington DC, it doesn't make the most sense to keep the PPV. Bragging Rights is simply a PPV where wrestlers will battle over who's the better man. Some matches will be about the World Title in addition to bragging rights, while others are just about finding the better man.

Get rid of the stupid Raw vs SD matches, but keep the name. It's a good wrestling name.

    Re: WWE PPV Schedule 2012

I always thought of Capitol Punishment as a second wannabe version of The Great American Bash, now don't get me wrong WWE needs Brand Supremacy back again, but I just don't like Bragging Rights. Maybe they could of had King of the Ring return as a PPV event in the June slot or maybe the return of the Great American Bash a couple of days before the 4th of July. However the schedule seems all good as usual.

The schedule actually looks prety good. Shame about the 3 week windows, but I suppose if they are going on the network it won't be so bad.

Moving Bragging Rights away from Survivor Series is a good decision.

    Re: WWE PPV Schedule 2012

It's a good schedule but the only reason I liked Bragging Rights was because of the Champion vs. Champion deal between Intercontinental champion and United States champion. Aka John Morrison vs. The Miz and Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler were great adds to the card, I missed them getting proper treatment this year without it getting promoted to pay per view and thrown away many of times on free television.

I wish they would get right of Hell in a Cell, I can actually live with Extreme Rules and TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs but it kills Hell in a Cell so much, by having it held twice a year, knowing its going to appear and not making a real big deal about it, plus it being about enhancing feuds instead of ending and bringing in a new light, aka Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels traded for Undertaker vs. Kane.

I liked Capitol Punishment, but like Jim said, ya gotta be at Washington D.C. for it or the pay per view makes a whole lotta of non sense. Oh yeah, I wish they would get rid of Money in the Bank also, I like it but I want it at Mania. Couldn't they just put King of the Ring in Money in the Bank spot? And Elimination Chamber is horrid name, No Way Out fit this criteria so well, purpose of getting rid of it? After my fixes, the schedule would look like this ... (yea, twelve a year)

Royal Rumble - Elimination Chamber - WrestleMania
Extreme Rules - Over The Limit - Bragging Rights
King of the Ring - SummerSlam - Night of Champions
Vengeance - Survivor Series - TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs

Any word on the venues for some of these PPVs?

Obviously Mania is in Miami, but what about some of the others?

    Updated WWE PPV Schedule

Looks like we are back to 12 PPV's a year

WWE released an updated PPV calendar in the UK which features:

    5/20 Over the Limit
    6/17 Bragging Rights
    7/15 Money In The Bank
    8/19 Summerslam
    9/23 Night of Champions
    10/28 Hell in A Cell
    11/18 Survivor Series

WWE has eliminated the Vengeance PPV in October from their schedule.

I would've rather WWE get rid of Bragging Rights than Vengeance, but at least we're back to just 12 PPVs a year now.

I would have just kept Vengeance and got rid of Hell in The Cell or as Andy said Bragging Rights too.

    Re: Updated WWE PPV Schedule

I would have opted to get rid of Hell In A Cell, why because then we can see Hell In A Cell matches build up to any pay per view instead of that one night in October which now we all know will be happening.
