    AC Milan 2-1 Valencia

A packed crowd at the San Siro saw AC Milan come out victors over a game Valencia. The first half was very tight, with little chances created from both sides. The closest to a breakthrough was when Soldado headed wide from Pablo Hernandez cross on the 30th minute mark. The 2nd half was when the game picked up. 2 Minutes into the 2nd half Robinho scored a tap in after a pass across goal by Pato. This seemed to spark some light into Valencia, who came very close to an equaliser when Aduriz headed against the post. Milan were the team to score next though, with a nice counter attack. Seedorf finished it off after a nice through ball pass by Boateng on the 78th minute. Valencia made it a nervy last 5 minutes when Soldado headed home from a corner.
    Ajax 1-1 Shakhtar Donetsk

Shakhtar rescued a point in Stoppage time, against Ajax in Amsterdam. Shakhtar had a goal disallowed in the 1st half when Adriano was caught offside. Ajax took the lead before the break, with a Gregory Van Der Wiel screamer from 30 yards, that sailed like a rocket into the top corner. The game remained very open, and El Hamdaoui scuffed a great chance to put Ajax 2 goals up when he fired over in a 1on1 situation. Shakhtar grabbed a stoppage time goal, when Fernandinho slotted home, after Willian squared it to him.

    Galatasary 0-0 Lille

Galatasary and Lille fought to a dull 0-0 draw in Turkey. Both teams couldn't create many chances, as the two teams cancelled each other out. The closest to a breakthough was a Joe Cole 25 yard effort that forced a good save out of Ercetin.
    CSKA Moscow 0-2 Man City

Edin Dzeko struck twice as Manchester City grabbed a deserved 2-0 win against CSKA Moscow. City dominated through out, and they were awarded for their dominance when Dzeko volleyed home from a David Silva cross. CSKA managed t break through City's defence just before half time but Vanger Love fired wide. City grabbed a 2nd with 20 minutes left on the clock when Dzeko headed in from close range, after a nice Samir Nasri cross.
Boca Juniors 2-0 New York Red Bulls

Boca Juniors won the battle of the relegation candidates, after a superb Riquelme free kick. Boca controlled possession, but never looked like threatening. This is until Viatri scored a nicely placed shot from the edge of the area 1 minute before the end of the 1st half. New York never looked like getting back, and it was settled, 10 minutes from time after Riquelme scored an amazing free kick from 35 yards.
    Borussia Dortmund 0-1 Napoli

Dortmund were left to rue missed chances as Napoli snatched a win against the German champions. Both sides were fairly even in possession, but it was Dortmund who created the best chances. None could be taken, the bets of which was when Mario Gotze hit the post from 6 yards. Napoli scored their only real chance of the game after some neat counter attacking play, saw Hamsik fire into the roof of the net early in the 2nd half. Napoli managed to withstand the heavy Dortmund pressure, and earn a valuable win.
    Bayern Munich 1-1 Real Madrid

The most high profile match this week saw the German giants Bayern Munich earn a 1-1 draw with 9x European champions Real Madrid. Frank Ribery got Bayern off to the perfect start, when he ran through Madrid's defence to sot home 3 minutes in. Real couldn't create a great chance in the 1st half, and almost went 2-0 down, but Muller scuffed a 1 on 1 with Casillas. Real stepped it up a gear in the 2nd half, as Ronaldo scored an easy tap in, after Higuain passed it square to him, when 1 on 1 with goal keeper.
    Chelsea 2-2 Man United

Chelsea battled back from 2 goals down as the 2 English Giants battled to an entertaining 2-2 draw at Stamford bridge. Chelsea's defending was yet again to blame, as Rooney was left un-marked in the box, to score an easy header 14 minutes in to the match. Chelsea were controlling possession, and almost levelled when a Torres shot from 20 yards rolled wide. United went 2-0 up when Javier Hernandez poked in from a Ashley Young pass across the face of goal. The game pretty much went in the same manner, but this time Chelsea scored. Juan Mata cut in from the right hand side, to curl the ball into the top corner to bring Chelsea back into it. Chelsea then started to dominate, as they searched for the equaliser, which they got when Torres out jumped Smalling to head home from a Juan Mata cross 15 minutes from time. Both sides tried to find a winner, but it remained even
    FC Porto 2-1 Lyon

Hulk was the hero as Porto scored 2 late goals in a come from behind victory against Lyon. Lisandro Lopez scored a fine goal to put Lyon a goal up 23 minutes into the game. It wasn't until the 87th minute that Porto equalised, as Hulk scored a screamer from 25 yards to level it. A fine pass from Joao Moutinho set up Hulk who fired home a 1 on 1 with Lloris to secure the win in stoppage time.
    Barcelona 5-0 Santos

Lionel Messi scores 4 goals as Favourites Barcelona swept aside Santos. Barcelona dominated, and took the lead through a Lionel Messi penalty, after Villa was brought down by Leo. This resulted in the defender getting sent off, as he was the last man. Messi doubled his and Barcelona's tally wiht a fine finish after a neat 1-2 with Xavi. Cesc Fabregas came off the bench and immediately made an impact, scoring a well driven 20 yard shot into the bottom right hand corner. Dani Alves crossed the ball straight into the path of Lionel Messi who got his 3rd goal with a easy finish. Messi's 4th and final goal was his best. The Argentine dribbled through 3 Santos players, rounded the goalkeeper, and tapped the ball in to finish off thre match.
