    TNA General Discussion

After three years and over 1k posts, it's about time we retire the TNA General Discussion thread. You may continue all of your Impact Wrestling talk that isn't quite worthy enough to have it's own thread.

3 years and only 1,000 posts? Man that doesn't seem like a lot to me at all. Here's hoping IMPACT can really give us something to talk about in here for a change.

Most stuff would have gotten it's own thread. The majority of the stuff that was in the thread didnt go for more than six or seven posts. Anything that would cause discussion got it's own thread.

    Re: Impact Wrestling General Discussion

    You can keep waiting:

TMZ is reporting that TNA has signed former CBS Big Brother contestant Jesse Godderz to a developmental contract through the rest of the year. Godderz has been learning the business down in Florida since he left the CBS show. He's a big bodybuilder type of guy.
Are five months really going to determine if he is good enough?

    Re: Impact Wrestling General Discussion

I doubt five months will prove anything other than his drive to succeed. If he half-asses it in those first five months then they'll know not to keep him around. He does have the look to be a wrestler so that at least is in his favour.

I'd really like to know how TNA chooses who they sign these days. It seems like they have a directory of every wrestler ever and just choose a random name, hoping that the guy could possibly be the next Hogan.

    Re: Impact Wrestling General Discussion

With the change to Impact Wrestling, what's the status on the titles? Is the TNA World Title still called that or is it the Impact Wrestling World Title? Looking at their site, I can't really see any clue as the titles are only being called the X-Division, World Title, ect.

That's kind of weird. Is there any other company that ignores the company name?

    Re: Impact Wrestling General Discussion

I think it's better that way. It implys that you are the champion of the world rather than just the champion of TNA/Impact Wrestling.

I think Angle is the only person to have said Impact Wrestling World Championship. Everyone has just said World Championship since the change.

Anderson said TNA World Heavyweight Champion after the change once but he was the only one.

    Re: Impact Wrestling General Discussion

I just read on the internet that Robert Roode was trained by Sean Morwell and Shane Sewell, something I though to be weird. I then read that ODB was previously in a relationship with Mr. Anderson, even more weird?

So the The Walking Dead was on last night. Either that, or I was just watching the Sting/Hogan BFG match. Talk about "Walking Dead".

I have a theory that Hogan and Sting both died years ago, and now we are left with their rotting zombie bodies stumbling around pretending to have a pulse.

    Re: Impact Wrestling General Discussion

So this week's rating is in and....

Last night's episode of Impact Wrestling did a 1.14 (1.1) cable rating, down from last week's 1.35 (1.4) to about average TNA numbers. The show did hourly ratings of 1.21 (1.2) and 1.07 (1.1) and was up against the World Series and Beavis & Butthead's return to TV.

The show's quarter-hour ratings breakdown was as follows:

Q1: 1.30 - James Storm's opening talking segment with appearances by Fortune, Samoa Joe, and Sting
Q2: 1.20 - Christopher Daniels vs. Rob Van Dam
Q3: 1.20 - Knockouts talking segment, Gail Kim vs. Tara
Q4: 1.14 - Eric Young vs. Robbie E. for the Television Title
    Q5: 1.15 - Eric and Garrett Bischoff
Q6: 1.05 - Flair and Bischoff backstage, video packages, the first-half of Jeff Hardy vs. Bully Ray
Q7: 1.01 - Finish of Jeff Hardy vs. Bully Ray, post-match interview
Q8: 1.06 - Robert Roode vs. Samoa Joe, Bischoffs and Flair
Not very impressive at all, which is a shame considering they were coming off such a good show. Unfortunately I cannot say I am too surprised about this either.

Horrible poster. Great choice for the poster boy but good lord, MS Paint, anyone? They basically took the normal FR graphic, and put a pic of Roode in front of it. I hope that's just a promo poster.

Just get a completely different photo of Roode and a more updated graphic and it'll be epic.
