The Philadelphia 76ers: Amped & Revamped

Going into the 2010-2011 NBA season, David Stern had a shocking announcement that the NBA was having a full team draft with every player in the NBA. I will be controlling the Philadelphia 76ers through their 82 game season with 5 minute quarters and superstar difficulty.

    Roster:

    Starting Five:

    PG: Jameer Nelson
    SG: Nick Young
    SF: Luol Deng
    PF: Dirk Nowitzki
    C: Marcus Camby

    Bench:
    Serge Ibaka
    Goran Dragic
    Marcin Gortat
    Boris Diaw
    Michael Pietrus
    Thabo Sefolosha
    Anthony Morrow
    Reggie Evans
    Joel Anthony

    Head Coach: Doug Collins
    Assistant Coach: Michael Curry

    NBA Rankings:
    Offense: 23rd
    Defense: 14th
    Overall: 14th

Already played four games before I started this thread and the current record is 2-2.

I'll do full box scores for each game that I play now.

    Record: 3-2

    Vs Miami - Loss - 51-58
    Vs Atlanta - Win - 66-62
    @ Indiana - Loss - 55-64
    vs Washington - Win - 60-46
    vs Indiana - Win - 65-48

Is this on NBA 2K11 I imagine? Also, are you playing EVERY game or simulating some of them?

Too big. Too strong. Too fast. Too good.

Yup, it's 2k11 and as of right now I plan on playing each game but we'll see how that turns out. I ended up finishing a season once in 2k9 so I can do it for sure. I usually play a game or two around 1 AM or so when I get home and stuff.

No offense, but that team looks absolutely dreadful.

I generally draft guys I play well with, even if they're not always rated high. Young, Dragic & Morrow are all key parts of my team because I play very well with them. Plus Sefolosha can steal like crazy and Camby is awesome for boards and blocks.

That's a LOT of big men on your bench.

If this was me, I'd be trading a few of those big men (Diaw, Anthony, maybe Gortat as a key trade chip), and Pietrus for a good back up point guard. You don't have a serviceable back up point guard, and although Jameer is a good PG, you need someone to back him up.

Goran Dragic is my backup and I like him alot. I think he's gonna be a starting PG in a few years. But I do plan on shopping a few bigger guys that get little time for a guard.
