    No Peace Frog?

Some pretty good songs you picked though. I love me some Doors.

I am a fan of Peace Frog and it was pure negligence that I didn't include it.

I'm listening to Love Her Madly at the moment and man, such a great song. I seriously could listen to the Doors all day every day. One of those bands that you can listen to when you're in any mood or time of day.

edit- My roommate just said that the Doors are gay and they sound like something you'd listen to if you were having gay sex. I'm not sure if I should just go punch him in the face right now or wait until he passes out drunk in about an hour and draw dicks all over his face. Did I forget to mention his favorite band is Nickelback?

How about The Unknown Soldier...classic tune. Love The Crystal Ship as well and Riders on the Storm is all kinds of brilliant. Listening to The Doors takes me back to my high school years, when it was all about getting high and, well, listening to The Doors to be quite honest!

    Re: The Doors Appreciation Thread

A lot of the lesser-known songs, I don't know the names of or can differentiate immediately. When I started to get really into them, I just downloaded everything and listened to it all in a few goes. They're just the ultimate band to listen to in any mood. They can be relaxing or fun, it all depends on your current state.

The lyrics are also so powerful, that even if you don't understand them, they're enough to affect you emotionally and change the way you think.

Touch Me should definitely be in here. One of my favorite songs by The Doors. Right up there with Unknown Soldier.

@Peepshow. You should immediately kick the shit out of him for that comment, then draw dicks all over his face afterwards for liking Nickleback.

I named my son after Jim Morrison, true story.

You guys have got to check out Jim's grave in Paris if you're ever around these parts. There's something religious about it.

Jim Morrison had one of the best voices I've ever heard. The Doors are awesome!

I like Touch Me, just not one of my favourites. I also wanted to post some songs that people less familiar with them wouldn't have heard. Even though I just included Break On Through, LA Woman and The End...

The rest of you, feel free to post your own videos.

Some love for Backdoor Man, especially Manzarek on keyboard:

Manzarek is one of the greatest rock keyboard players of all time and the fact that he also played all the bass parts for the band is absolutely mind blowing. Backdoor Man is a great example of his abilities.

That's probably the best Friday parody, after the Bob Dylan one.

I'm shocked you haven't posted "Soul Kitchen" yet. I'm sure we all know it, though. :D

    Regardless, The Doors are awesome.
