I said it last year and they are even worse this year. Barcelona dont have any intention of playing fair, they just do everything they can to cheat the referee. Everytime an Arsenal player comes near them, they hit the deck and roll until they hear a whistle at which point they make a miracle recovery. Likewise when on the defence, they go in with constant fouls and then put the puppy dog eyes on to get away with it.

That RVP sending off was a joke. Never a red card in a million years.

Better team went through tbh. Barcelona were all over them all game long. Arsenal apparently didn't even have an attempt on goal. Or 1 at most

Well the ref certainly didn't help matters, it was always going to be tough 11 v 11, so 10 vs 11 was too tall an order.

The ugly side of Barca came out alot tonight, team of pansys

Fifa/UEFA is a pure joke. Another game bought by Barca. That was the biggest robbery I have ever seen. Not even one second had passed between the ref's whistle and RVP's shot. If that ref wasn't paid off, I don't know anything.

Hopefully Barcelona get an away tie for the 2nd leg, they always seem to have the luck of the draw playing at home in the 2nd leg.

More than confident about Spurs tonight, I think they've got enough to see off Milan, the most I could see AC scoring is 1, and I don't think that will be enough for them, not with VDV and Bale back

Even though Milan are my favourite Italian side I really hope Spurs can get the job done tonight. Come on Spurs!!

UEFA are "reviewing the performance" of the referee last night. Translation: We know he was shit, but we're not admitting it.

What the hell is there to review. The Ref was a joke and it's clear to see

I also find it funny as hell that Nasri & Wegner were charged over making comments to the ref. Seriously Referees are easily the most protected guys in football right now. They could do a horrible arse job but if you say a word against them your gonna get in trouble.

If you have one shot on goal you cannot possibly claim that the referee cost you the much match,

Spurs doing well so far, not exactly playing the whole caviler, all out attack football that they were talking about, never thought they would tbh, but doing enough just the same, hope they get the job done in the second half.

I felt the scoreline in the Kiev/City game was bit harsh, pretty even game in difficult conditions, I think it will be pretty tough to go through now.

Decent result for the 'Gers last night.

We sat back far too much however and really showed them too much respect, if thats the best the dutch league has to offer than it just shows how much they have fallen in the last decade, just like Rangers tbf.

Think we've got a really good chance of getting the result back at Ibrox but if they score first I think we're in trouble.

Sorry, but that is the most absurd comment I have ever heard. This is soccer bro...look at Milan, they destroyed tottenham and yet they couldn't score.

Arsenal and Barca had played 55 minutes and it was still only 1-1. With 35 minutes left, it would have been tough for Barca to score had Van Pierse still been in the game. That ref decided the game with that awful yellow card. And Arsenal is not a B-Team, they did beat Barca in the first leg.

Arsenal were also 3-2 up at the time so yeah, the referee did more or less confirm that Arsenal werent going through.

    Well actually this is football.

Barca pounded Arsenal when they had 11 men and pounded them when they had 10 men, the sending off didn't really change the flow of the game at all.
