Re: WWE December PPV's History & Discussion

Wow, After all of these years of watching Tuesday in Texas, I never realized it was in December.

For the most part, December PPV's are skipworthy due to being sandwiched between two of the main four PPV's. Some noteworthy matches:

1991 - Jake Roberts vs Randy Savage - Insanely good promos from both men during the show
1995 - Davey Boy Smith vs Bret Hart - MOTYC
1996 - Flash Funk vs Leif Cassidy
    1999 - Vince McMahon vs Triple H
    2002 - Booker T/Goldust vs Storm/Regal vs Dudleys vs Jericho/Christian
2003 - Rob Van Dam vs Randy Orton
2004 - JBL vs Eddie Guerrero vs The Undertaker vs Booker T
    2005 - Chris Benoit vs Booker T
    2006 - 4 way ladder match
    ---

BTW, where did you get your results Crocker? Chris Benoit's matches aren't listed for 2005 and 2006.

I just figured you got the results from WWE.com.

BTW, Booker T vs Chris Benoit from 2005 was match 4 in their Best of 7 US Title series.

If Im ever in a situation for my life that needs me to answer general knowledge and trivia wrestling questions...Jim you can definatly answer on my behalf.

Any way, yeah who remembers December to Dismember. How messed up was that PPV. Didnt it close like 40+ minutes early. Was that before or after Armageddon that year, because the 4 way ladder match may have been a gift to make up for it...

It was before. I remember hearing reports after Armageddon that that's exactly why Londrick vs Regal/Taylor was changed.

I remember being hyped for a lengthy Regal/Taylor vs Londrick match then being dissapointed when we got a ladder spotfest instead.

I had mix feelings on it being there live. It seemed as if Taylor/Regal were going to win, so I was excited about seeing Regal win a title. But being able to see my first ladder match live, it kind of made it okay. Regal/Taylor and Londrick did put on three good tag bouts on SD during this time though.
